- Leblon Beach - Our first photo opportunity is at the Leblon Beach viewpoint, situated in one of Rio de Janeiro’s most elegant and prestigious neighborhoods. Nestled in the South Zone, it borders Ipanema and is renowned for its serene, residential, and sophisticated ambiance. We will disembark for a 5-minute stop. Following this, we will continue our drive along the coast, passing the beaches of Ipanema and Copacabana.
- Ipanema Beach - Ahead is the renowned Ipanema Beach, made famous globally by the song “The Girl from Ipanema,” by Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes. This song helped to popularize the neighborhood worldwide, making Ipanema a symbol of bossa nova and the Carioca lifestyle.
- Copacabana Beach - In front of us is Copacabana Beach, stretching approximately 4.5 kilometers, bordered by the iconic black and white wave-patterned promenade. Inspired by Lisbon’s sidewalks, its design has become one of Brazil’s most photographed tourist attractions. Copacabana emerged at the end of the 19th century and rapidly developed after the Túnel Velho opened, connecting it to the city center. For decades, the neighborhood was Rio’s most elegant address, hosting grand balls, casinos, and luxury hotels.
- Escadaria Selaron - We are at one of Rio de Janeiro’s most iconic and photographed sites: the Selarón Steps. This staircase links the neighborhoods of Lapa and Santa Teresa and is a genuine open-air masterpiece. Created by Chilean artist Jorge Selarón, who arrived in Brazil in the 1940s and fell in love with Rio de Janeiro, the staircase was his way of expressing his eternal love for the city. Construction began in 1990 and was never officially completed. Selarón claimed he would finish it only upon his death, adding to the location’s intriguing allure.
- AquaRio - At the largest marine life aquarium in Latin America, visitors can see sharks, rays, and numerous fish species. Discover the famous “Nemo,” the fish character from the Walt Disney animated film, and walk through the aquarium tunnel for incredible photo opportunities.
- Sugarloaf Mountain - Welcome to one of Brazil’s and the world’s most iconic tourist attractions: the Sugarloaf Mountain Cable Car, located in the marvelous city of Rio de Janeiro. We are in the charming and tranquil neighborhood of Urca. The journey is divided into two stages: first to Morro da Urca and then to the top of Pão de Açúcar, which stands approximately 396 meters above sea level. Interestingly, this cable car was inaugurated in 1912, being the first in Brazil and the third in the world. At the time, it was considered an engineering marvel and continues to operate with the highest safety standards.
- Corcovado - Christ the Redeemer - Regarding our trip: the Corcovado Train, affectionately known as the “little train,” was inaugurated in 1884, long before Christ the Redeemer existed. It was Brazil’s first electric train and played a crucial role in transporting the statue’s pieces during its construction. The route spans approximately 3.8 kilometers and traverses the Atlantic Forest, where visitors can spot coatis, monkeys, native birds, and lush vegetation. Before us stands Christ the Redeemer, inaugurated on October 12, 1931. We are situated approximately 710 meters above sea level, within the Tijuca National Park, the largest reforested urban forest in the world.
