Our journey commences with a visit to the largest waterfall in Rio, Taunay Waterfall, located within Tijuca’s Forest National Park. It is a top ecological gem of Rio, surrounded by Atlantic Rainforest with an amazing diversity of flora and fauna, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, caves, and mountains. Starting from the charming Bom Retiro nestled within the park, the trail to Pico da Tijuca takes less than one hour to reach its peak. This offers a splendid view of the forest, landmarks, the Maracanã Stadium, Guanabara Bay and much more.
