A Great Experience in Tijuca Forest - I had a great tour through the Tijuca Forest with our guide Yan. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience both interesting and enjoyable. Yan shared a lot about the forest, the wildlife, and its history, which made the hike much more meaningful. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rio.

Nice tour. - Our tour guide Victor was very nice and informative. It was raining the day we were on the tour so we did not get to see much wildlife, but we were still able to get through the tour, see waterfalls and caves. We were traveling with the kids and he made sure they were able to keep up.

Must Book!!! - Our Tijuca Rainforest hike was honestly one of the highlights of my trip to Rio, and a big part of that was because of our guide, Sam. From the start he was welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the rainforest and the history of the park, which made the whole experience both fun and educational. The views from Mirante das Canoas were incredible, Taunay Waterfall was breathtaking, and exploring the caves, especially the Bat Cave, was such a unique experience. One of my favorite moments was stopping at the Baronesa Waterfall where we could cool off and enjoy the beauty of the rainforest. Sam did a great job pointing out plants, wildlife, and interesting facts along the way that most people would normally miss, which made the hike feel even more special. He was patient with everyone in the group, answered all our questions, and even helped take photos so we could capture the moment. You can tell he truly loves what he does and takes pride in sharing the beauty of Tijuca National Park. I would highly recommend this tour, especially with Sam as your guide, it was an unforgettable experience.

Unforgettable experience - Very easy to book, good communication our guide Victor was incredibly kind, he took his time to explain everything and help us during the hike, he is also good photographer. We had good guidelines before the activity, the waterfall was beautiful, a little disappointed we did not see animals but the forest was worth the visit.

A Well-Organized and Memorable Hike Through Tijuca Forest - Hiking in Tijuca Forest was one of the highlights of my time in Rio. 🌿 The whole experience was very well organized from the start. A day before the tour, I received a clear WhatsApp message from the tour company with all the important detail; the pickup time, information about the van, the guide’s name, and what to bring for the hike. On the day of the tour, our guide Victor also sent a personal message with the estimated time of arrival and shared his live location, which made the pickup process very smooth and reassuring. Within minutes of entering the trails, the noise of Rio fades away and you’re surrounded by dense greenery, towering trees, birds, and occasional glimpses of wildlife. Victor was excellent and very attentive to the group. He made sure everyone could keep up with the pace and constantly adjusted his position depending on the situation, sometimes walking in front to lead, sometimes staying in the middle, and other times bringing up the rear to make sure no one was left behind. Before starting each section of the trail, he clearly explained the path and what to expect, which made the hike feel organized and safe. During the hike, he also helped us carefully pass through a large fallen tree trunk along the trail, making sure everyone got through safely. The trail itself is not the easiest for complete beginners. It’s not difficult either, but it definitely helps if you have some basic hiking experience. There are sections that require a bit of stamina and footing, so coming prepared with good shoes and water is important. In the middle of the hike, we stopped at a beautiful waterfall where you can stand underneath and take a refreshing shower, a perfect break after hiking through the humid forest. Later in the hike, we also explored a large cave with a narrow opening, which felt like a fun little adventure squeezing through the entrance and discovering the space inside. Along the way we passed scenic viewpoints and lush rainforest landscapes that made every step worth it. One of the best parts of hiking in Tijuca is how quickly you can go from the busy city to feeling like you’re deep inside a tropical jungle. If you enjoy nature and want to experience another side of Rio beyond the beaches, this hike is absolutely worth it. 🌳
