Pomerode boasts the highest number of ENXAIMEL houses outside of Europe. The Enxaimel Route features approximately 60 such houses. Some have been preserved by IPHAN, including the Siewert house from 1868, which was registered and restored according to established guidelines. The family continues to reside there and welcomes tourists, sharing the history of the house’s construction and the lives of its residents since immigration. Additionally, the tour includes a panoramic view of around 10 other houses (including the oldest), as well as hunting and shooting clubs, cemeteries, and churches. Throughout the route, visitors learn about the German community that emigrated in 1860 and the period of the Second World War up to the present day.
