- Rua Engenheiro Adozindo Magalhães - When only the cooking class is reserved, it will commence at the location where the activity takes place. Participants will begin by preparing the signature drink, “caipirinha,” using a fruit of their choice. As they enjoy their drink and some appetizers, they will make the renowned bread “pão de queijo.” The class will cover the ingredients, their origins, and include tasting vegetables cooked in a simple manner, which are integral to the local cuisine and its heritage. The special cheese “queijo coalho” will be paired with a delightful pineapple pepper jelly, and participants will also prepare “camarão na tapioca” (deep-fried shrimp). Since the dessert requires cooling, it will be prepared first. “Brigadeiro” is a traditional sweet, easy to make, and popular in Brazilian cafes. For the main course, participants will marinate fish, prawns, or seafood for the “moqueca.” Accompanying side dishes, also prepared, include Brazilian-style rice, “pirão,” and “farofa.” To conclude the experience, participants can enjoy coffee from the Bahia region, followed by liqueur. This class is perfect for those who enjoy a DIY, hands-on experience, engaging conversation, and fun, while receiving tips about Salvador.
