A wonderful way to spend an evening - Our tour guide, Yasmin, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She really made the whole trip feel special and welcoming. We made frequent stops so she could tell us about the environment that we were in, and we even got to pick and eat fresh lingonberries! We were served a warm pea soup with bread, and a chocolate ball and coffee/tea afterwards. It was a wonderful way to spend the evening, I would definitely do this again!

Loved experiencing nature in Stockholm! - The National Park was absolutely beautiful, and our guide was knowledgeable and experienced with the area. I learned about how Sweden and the Swedes view their natural spaces, which was really interesting, while enjoying the views. It was fun to do something different from the city, and it was quite easy overall!

A lovely evening - Max was an excellent, attentive and enthusiastic guide. A beautiful walk through the countryside and nice food by a lake culminated in the sighting of elk: mother and two children.

Tranquil evening hike through old-grown forests - My wife and I recently participated in the evening hike in Tyresta National Park and enjoyed our experience. Our guide, Paloma, was welcoming, helpful, and well prepared for the hike (including having mosquito repellent when needed!). She kept us on schedule so that we would not miss our public bus connections at either the beginning or end of the hike, yet still had enough time to stop and point out various interesting details, such as looking out for signs of wildlife (although we unfortunately didn't see any), offering us wild lingonberries and blueberries, and toward the end of the hike, fixing us a tasty meal of Swedish meatballs (vegan, as well), potatoes and lingonberries, while we enjoyed the tranquil view of a lake at sunset. This hike was a nice option to get out of the city for a few hours and get a sense of the landscape and forests in this part of Sweden, which we enjoyed. The only things I would advise is to be prepared for trails that while well marked, are not always clear-cut, and involve a lot of clambering over exposed tree roots and various types of terrain, which might not be suitable for everybody. However, all in all we enjoyed tour.

Beautiful hike but beware of all the tree roots - This guided tour of Tyresta NP was a great way to experience the Swedish wilderness. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the various flora and fauna in the park. We didnt did see any wildlife other than some deer and incredibly large ant mounds. The trail itself was not difficult but did contain a lot of tree roots. Therefore, it is important to wear good walking or hiking shoes. Our group consisted of 8 people plus our guide. Our guide was very conscientious of everyone’s well-being and made sure everyone felt comfortable with the trail we were hiking on. She also brought insect repellent for everyone to ward off any mosquitos or ticks. We did not encounter any mosquitos which made for an enjoyable hike. A dinner of Swedish meatballs, boiled potatoes and lingonberry sauce was provided at a vista overlooking a beautiful lake at sunset. My only complaint was that the dinner was rather meager and we were all very hungry after hiking for a couple of hours. In addition, the return hike after dinner was nearly dark which caused challenges to navigate the trails with all the tree roots. I would recommend bringing a small flashlight. I was told by our guide that the tour time is set earlier periodically to accommodate the loss of daylight as the summer season progresses. Overall, I would recommend this tour to connect with nature and learn a bit about the native plants. Tyresta is a beautiful park.

Nice round through the national park - Our guide Max took us for a nice walk through the national park. At the beginning it was a bit steep uphill, but the view over the lake was very great. The rest of the route was mostly on paved paths. In between, the guide told us a lot about the park and Sxhweden in general. After almost 2 hours our guide made the food warm. There were vegan meatballs, potatoes, sour cream and jam. The Fikka was available as dessert ... Coffee/tea and oatballs. Since we had the lead all to ourselves, we could decide how long we wanted to run.

A different way to discover the surroundings of Stockholm - The tour is great, however it is off the normal paths and is sometimes a little strenuous. Good shoework is strongly recommended.

Many reviews recommend... - Many reviews recommend this as an easy hike, suitable for all ages. I did not find this to be the case. I quickly fell behind the others, and found the uphill portions quite difficult. I was only able to complete the first portion, and then was left to sit on a deck for over an hour. It was peaceful, but quite a lonely experience. The guide, Max, did try to accommodate me. I also found the directions to return to my cruise ship were inadequate, and I was lost alone in the city for quite a long time before I was able to find someone who could help direct me to the Pier. This is the first time of many excursions or experiences with Viator that has let me down.
