Exceptional Tour. Wonderful Christmas Experience. - Exceptional experience. Fantastic tour. Katherine, our guide, made the tour a wonderful time. She knows how the Sweedes currently celebrate Christmas, and what the history of Christmas is in Sweden. She knows the history and culture of Sweden, and it's traditions. We walked around the city of Stockholm, seeing Christmas lights and sights. We ended the tour in Gamla Stan, the old Stockholm city center, at the Stockholm Christmas Market.

Really Enjoyable Tour - We had some time to kill in Stockholm and we are glad we booked this tour. Aggie (from Poland) was an excellent guide for us and shared lots of interesting information as she walked us around Stockholm. The tour focused on Christmas in Sweden and she talked about the pagan history, introduction of Christianity and how the two melded together over time to create current Swedish Christmas traditions. We had some really nice stops along the way including the Walk of Lights, shopping centres and points of interests around the city. The tour ended at a candy store that served us non-alcoholic glog, cookies and some Swedish sweets. We also got to sample a fresh and warm batch of tutti-frutti candy before it hardened. If you take this tour keep in mind that it goes rain, snow or shine. The day we went it had snowed the night before so the streets and sidewalks had lots of slush and puddles. I was fine in my sneakers but my wife was very happy that she had winter boots. Most of the tour happens outdoors so make sure you dress for the weather and have comfy footwear. The tour starts after sunset and when the lights are turned on at 3:30 so it will be a little cooler than the day.
