Good Hop on/off, maybe consider public transit - Easy to use, comfortable buses, reliable. We never waited very long. The app stinks, but if you can get it to work, you can see where the buses are in real time. Very easy. Audio tour didn't give much info. This was a pleasant experience, but I would do public transit next time. We discovered that it's so easy and cheap!

Reliable practical means of transport with information - Henrik advised me very well on the selection of the ticket at the pier and offered me a discounted ticket for the fotografiska Museum. The boat trips were interesting and punctual. Especially practical is the app where you can see where the next boat or bus is.

Seamless from beginning... - Seamless from beginning to end. Lots of buses and boats arriving every 15 mins or so. Great audio commentary. We always try to do a HOHO when we visit a city and this was one of the better ones.

Convenient, best way to become acquainted with the city!! - My husband and I visited Stockholm for the first time. We hopped on the bus and rode all stops to become acclimated. It was drizzling and we were feeling a bit jet lagged so it was perfect. Next day we did the hop on and off boat ride( 72 hour ticket). It was great. Then hopped back on bus to get to destination. Convenient and staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Wonderful experience! Best way to see the city! 5 stars!!

I did the Red Sightseeing bus - there are two similar companies - I usually do these hop on tours near the start of visiting a town. I just stay on the whole circuit and get an overview. Never use them to get on and off. Clearly they are not an exact science and are traffic dependent. Also sometimes the commentary is out of sync with the sights or the audio jack points broken. You get that on all the hop on buses. There are two bus companies in Stockholm. The Red Sightseeing bus company and the City Sightseeing bus tour company. The buses look very similar. After having a look at both map routes I decided that the Red Sightseeing route was longer and more extensive. I enjoyed the route and saw a lot of the sites. I got on at the Nordic Light hotel stop. I also bought the combined bus and boat tour. The boat tour was decent as well but I headed outside to the back not realising that the audio jacks were only inside for the commentary. It was a fairly hot day on the bus so I wished I hadn't forgot my water bottle. The savvy people headed to the last two rows of seats where the open top still provided shade. The bus did stop for about half an hour at the stop near the royal palace which was a little annoying. But I always take some headphones anyway and have stuff to listen to on my phone. In the end the full circuit took over two hours. The red sightseeing bus deal is quite good because it goes from the day you buy the ticket to the end of the next day on a 24 hour ticket. Which would be more than 24 hours if you bought your ticket in the morning. Anyway a very nice ride. Even though I could have got round quicker and cheaper on the public transport this was a relaxing way to see the sights. Nb check if there is a cruise ship in town as this clogs up the hop on buses a bit.

Highly recommended - If we have only a few days or even hours available, we have gotten into the habit of taking hop-on/hop-off tours on city trips. This has proven itself again this time - especially the boat trip has something downright relaxing. We have decided on the 24h combination of bus and boat: Our 10-year-old was completely free, the 13-year-old paid half, so all the fun cost us as a family just under 100€. 24h means two working days. Thus, our arrangement offers a very decent price-performance ratio and is absolutely recommended in our view.

One day good value. - Good way to learn about Stockholm and where / how to get around city center. One day ticket is worthwhile. But multi day not necessary since local transit system will get you everywhere you want to go. Staff was very helpful at all HoHo stops especially on boat.

It was a cool ride - Very timely.... I've read some negative reviews and was skeptical. One driver almost had me rethink my choice until I met another driver who saved the day.

Hop on and off Stockholm - The stops on the trip were not horrible. It’s just that the spots to where to get picked up and left off. We’re unclear on the app and the staff themselves were not too helpful when it came to locating the stops to get on and off of for the bus or boat.

Stockholm visit - Working time is too short. From 10:00am till 4:00 pm, and sunset is around 9:30pm. App is helpful, and accurate.
