Epic hike! - We had a wonderful time with Sammy our guide who is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wolf conservation. Even though we didn’t see any wolves or moose the hike itself was stunning and I can’t recommend it enough. The bbq lunch we had was a highlight too!

Fascinating wildlife adventure with expert guide, stunning landscapes, and unforgettable moments - My husband and I had the pleasure of a wolf and wildlife experience in December 2024, and it truly exceeded all expectations. We were expertly guided by Sammy. His incredible knowledge and passion for wildlife made the experience both educational and engaging—we learned so much from him. As luck would have it, our tour turned into a private one, making the day even more special. While we weren’t fortunate enough to see wolves, we did spot lynx tracks (particularly fun given I tracked them using the advice/guidance Sammy had given us), along with moose and a variety of other fascinating animals, their poop and favourite wolf pee spots. The thrill of tracking in a way that was respectful to the animals (i.e. only tracking back) and the sheer beauty of the wilderness made it a day to remember. The breathtaking old-growth forests adorned with beard moss and coral moss, and stunning range of lichens, made every step of the trip fascinating. On top of that, the experience was peppered with unforgettable moments that made it all the more magical. Practicing our wolf calls was exhilarating, and using thermal imaging goggles added a fascinating, high-tech edge to our adventure. We ended the day with fika by a frozen lake, watching the night sky come alive with stars—a perfect, peaceful conclusion to an extraordinary day. If you're considering this trip, I highly recommend it—worth every penny for the unique and unforgettable adventure. Don’t miss

Amazing experience! - We had an amazing experience on the wolf tracking tour. Our guide Sammy was very informative and very enthusiastic about the wolves in the territory we went to and about Swedish wildlife in general. We learnt about the wolves in that territory and the recent changes that had happened. We also learnt about and saw (and smelt) the wolves poo. This was about as close as we got to the wolves! We walked across a frozen lake, a first for me! And, luckily (for us) Sammy was the only one to fall. Sammy tried to get the wolves to answer his howl later in the evening but unfortunately they were not interested! 100% would do this tour again! An amazing experience in the great outdoors with an enthusiastic guide! Thank you Sammy

Awesome - Despite the changing conditions (wind-rain) in early November, the day was perfect. As a couple, a remarkable barbecue in the rain, then a day in pursuit of the wolves, until... hear them scream in the evening (they answered our guide). If you want to discover the suede, I recommend.

Great day in nature - Everything was great. Sammy was very informative and you could feel he really loves what he is doing. Sadly we did not see any "big" animals like moose, deer, foxes or wolves but it did not matter. I mean at least I was able to finally see wolf poop and a moose footprint up close - not something you will see or smell everyday 😉 If you like hiking, nice people/guide, a good BBQ and true swedish nature i would definitely recommend this tour!!!

Sammy the Wolfman is an incredible guide! - Sammy the Wolfman has an infectious love for wolves. He cautioned us at the start that wolves are tricky to spot in the wild, and while this proved to be true in our case, we nevertheless gained an aptitude for noticing signs of their activity and felt their presence all around us. We followed old tracks and droppings, which soon gave way to fresh tracks and fresh droppings. We crossed over frozen ponds and lakes near where they roamed. I am sure they were watching us at one point, but we could not spot them; we only heard wrestling noises in the woods and ravens calling overhead. Overall, it's a beautiful hike in an impressive forest. Visiting from the United States, I can't imagine a better way to spend a day. Sammy can howl just like a wolf and had rain not arrived, odds were good for the wolves to reply. As were our odds of running across them moving about. Ultimately, we gained a much more thorough understanding of how to spot their tracks and droppings and how to evaluate their age. We better understand the incredible beasts and cannot thank Sammy enough for sharing his knowledge and passion. If you go in wintertime, the snow and ice helps track them. We also walked for a good while on a frozen lake, which was beautiful and serene. Consider microspikes if you are going in the winter. Our evening BBQ hit the spot after a full day of tracking wolves. Highly recommend!
