- Arkils Tingstad - Arkils Tingstad is an ancient “Ting” (assembly place) where Vikings gathered for meetings and court sessions. It is beautifully situated by the picturesque Vallentuna Lake. The guide will elaborate on the Viking legal system. Travel time from Jarla Banke Bridge is 5 minutes.
- Vallentuna - Vallentuna Church is an old parish church dating back to the late 12th century. The guide will discuss the transition from paganism to Christianity and provide a brief history of the Church of Sweden. Travel time from Arkils Tingstad is 7 minutes.
- HOKERIET - Enjoy a “fika” at Granby, a traditional Swedish coffee break with pastries. Visitors will also explore the ruins of an ancient Viking settlement, featuring the largest runic script in the world. Travel time from Vallentuna Church is 15 minutes.
- Sigtuna - Sigtuna, the first capital of Sweden, is well-preserved. Visitors will have time for a quick lunch and some free time for shopping or exploring independently. After an hour, the guide will provide a background on Sigtuna and lead a tour through the ruins of Saint Olof Church, named after the famous Viking Olof Haraldsson, who later became a saint.
- Gamla Uppsala Kungshogarna - Visit the burial mounds of Old Uppsala and the ancient church. This site was a spiritual center for both pagan Vikings and later Christians. The old kings were interred here in individual mounds.
- Uppsala Domkyrka - Uppsala Cathedral is the main cathedral of Sweden and the seat of the archbishop. The guide will offer a tour of the church and a brief city tour (from the bus) as the group departs Uppsala for Stockholm. The return journey to the first drop-off in Stockholm typically takes about 1 hour (6:00-6:30 pm).
- Uppsala - Enjoy a scenic tour between stops in a comfortable van/minibus, accommodating up to 17 passengers. An audio system is provided for each passenger. The driving guide is authorized by the Stockholm Tourist Board.

Informative and engaging tour - Very informative. We visited several sites which included rune stones, ruins and churches. Uppsala and Sigtuna were quiet beautiful towns and our guide Calle together with our driver Bianca were very friendly, approachable and informed! Calle was especially entertaining and engaging. If you're a history buff or a viking lore nerd, they will take you through the history of the viking age from start to end. Do not be shy and ask questions! They will surely have an answer for you.

This is a terrific tour.... - This is a terrific tour. I learned so much about Vikings and rune stones. This tour is a must do for anyone interested in history.

History Comes Alive!!! - Our guide did an amazing job of filling us in on the history of not only Sweden, but each place we visited- step by step. He didn’t overwhelm us, but just explained as we went, about each site we would see and why each one was built or likely in the place it was set (as in stones and burial mounds).
It was a full day of exploration, but we were not exhausted at the end- just so thankful that we had gone! So much rich history to be seen.

Great way to break out of the city, learn and have fun. - A packed and well- structured itinerary with a fun and informative guide. The group is restricted to be small, which is ideal. We had a great day. Thanks Urban!

Amazing Viking Tour - This was a great experience! For anyone who is interested in Viking history, Highly recommend this tour. Urban was a great host, and an amazing tour guide, full of lots of great information that we would not otherwise have known. We saw quite a few runestones, and he explained a lot of the history of the Vikings in Sweden and other parts of Scandinavia. We saw Uppsala, had a Fika, and saw the beautiful countryside of Sweden. Urban was very considerate of all the passengers' needs, and he even went out of his way to find a bathroom for one of the people on the tour! It was amazing time!!!

Excellent Tour - This was an outstanding tour. Urban was extremely knowledgeable and was happy to share that knowledge. We learned all about the Vikings and what happened to them when Sweden became Catholic, and then how it became Lutheran in the 1500's with the Reformation. Ancient churches, rune stones, Viking burial mounds, and the beautiful Swedish forests and countryside. You get a real sense of the ancient history of the place as well as the countryside with its acres and acres of rolling wheat fields and red barns/houses. Highly recommended.

Disappointing - The trip was very informative about Rune Stones and the history of the Vikings. However, as the description of the tour mentioned visiting a traditional farm and having a ‘Fika’ break, we were quite disappointed when this did not happen as it was one of the main reasons we booked the trip. No explanation about the omission was given.

Interesting Full day countryside & historical experience - The mini bus could have been newer & larger, but all together a great excursion. The guide/driver was very knowledgeable and fun!

Potential Not Achieved - Regardless of the expense, this excursion delivered low value. The guide's description delivery was exceedingly verbose about much that was uninspiring to the point that some of the travellers completely ignored him. He droned on about picayune subjects and gave little of entertaining value. What I would deem of greater interest was sloughed off with little explanation and time allotted, e.g. burial mounds etc. Whereas, an inordinate amount of time was given explaining the intricate details of each and every rune that we saw. Sigtuna and Uppsala should have been allotted far more time and less on the runes. The speaker system within the small van was very poor. And, the fika offerings were miserly and a waste of time. I have been on dozens of Viator excursions around the world and this is the first negative one that I have written.

Tour was not as expected. Not worth the money paid. - This tour was not worth the money we paid. Our driver was nice and the guide was very knowledgeable; however, the tour that is listed is not what we got. The tour purchased was sold to another company and we did not do all of the stops and did not receive the Fika Swedish Coffee Break that was supposed to be included. We did not spend 4 hours in Stockholm County at the end of the tour. Instead of going in one van there were two large mini vans that were not coordinated well. We spent a lot of time waiting on the other van with the guide to see the attractions. Our van had the driver who did not have the in depth information about the attractions. If you are into Vikings and want to spend the whole day looking at different Runestones this is the tour for you. If you are hoping to see areas outside of Stockholm that are great areas to see with wonderful photo ops I would choose another tour..
