Great day out. - The ticket to visit Anne Hathaways cottage, Shakespeare's new house and Shakespeare's birthplace is great value and makes for an awesome day out with the birthplace being the star attraction. Historic house, lovely gardens and great scenes reenacted from his plays courtesy of @eventsfromhistory. Whether you are a Shakespeare enthusiast or not you will enjoy it. Our 6 year old loved it (especially the plays).

A great experience - We recently visited Shakespeare's birthplace and while it was fascinating, it was the guides throughout that really made for a memorable experience. They were so engaging and knowledgeable and really brought everything to life! There was also a short live performance of a couple of scenes from Shakespeare's plays in the garden which was delightful in the sunshine. A must see when visiting Stratford upon Avon.

Well worth a visit - Didn't know what to expect. But I really enjoyed the visit. The guides where friendly and knowledgeable. One guide in particular was really enthusiastic and was helpful advising us on where to go and places to visit. The lovely ladies name was Joyce/Joy. I would highly recommend a visit.

Interesting experience but pricey - We purchased tickets for the Birthplace, which also included entry to New Place. While it was good to have access to both, we do feel the ticket price is quite high for what you get. £52 for two adults feels excessive given that you are essentially walking around a house and garden. It’s an interesting experience, but I wouldn’t say you’d be missing out on something essential if you chose not to go. We visited Shakespeare’s Birthplace and New Place during our trip and found it really interesting to see both sites. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and more than happy to answer questions and provide extra information. Shakespeare’s Birthplace was good to walk around, especially considering the history behind it. New Place was also lovely to see, although it was a little disappointing that the gift shop there wasn’t open during our visit and last admission was 14:30pm.

Scam - Start the visit with two rather lax instructional videos. The museum part, no more. From the house there is one person in each room who reluctantly repeats the same every time someone enters. All this for the modest price of £27. Better to see the village and read Shakespeare's plays to yourself.

Overpriced and rude ticket staff not worth the money - Rude door and ticket staff they left you waiting with no explanation? allowed pre booked tickets through first it is so poorly set up there should be two queues to prevent hold ups I can understand security vigilance but even that was hit and miss And it is most definitely overpriced for what you get which is disappointing plus a small clip board with the prices not a plain to see board outside!! the staff in each of the rooms were pleasant and informative but it did not take long to get around the house. On the other hand the girl at New Place Gardens was really helpful perhaps a swap round of staff or a little staff training on manners for the girl called Rachel N at Shakespeare’s birthplace. Unfortunately I shall not be going back even with the return receipt.
