Guide with driver , door to door: but those who rent a sawteuew think to save money? - We only had the morning off and this was one of the places I like to see again! The Guide was very kind to pick us up at the hotel, even if slightly off the route, and take us back to another hotel! Guida tranquilla ma veloce su una strada nn facile! Going then early in the morning, few people so the Guide could provide us with clarity, all the information! Bravo

Great trip to the temple and village - Our guide, New, was very knowledgeable about all we saw. She knew how much time to give us at each site, and her information was interesting and helped make the places more real. We really wanted to see the palace, but it was closed because members of the royal family were there. This can happen at anytime, and obviously the tour company has no control over that. The Hmong village was nice to visit. The trip up and down the mountain on twisty roads was an adventure, and I appreciated how New told us at the beginning to let her know if we needed a break for air.

Not to be missed. - The visit to Doi Suthep Temple and then later on to Hmong Village was more than I expected. The temple is a very sacred site however even though it is on top of a mountain, it is very easy access via funicular transport. If you have any disability issues, then you won't be excluded from the visit. Easy access to all key parts. However, for the energetic you can climb or down or both the 306 plus steps. A must see, trip and only a half day. Excellent value.

It was Ok - That was good trip, very brief but consistent with the description. We have visited temple and village. Temple was Ok but visit in the village was very short and for me there was some level of unclearance. In village was some zones whitch required tickets and I wasn’t suire it was something worth seeing or just a scam, our guide should tell us that.

Cultural significance - For visitors to Chiang Mai these are the crucial experiences. I especially enjoyed the visit to the Hmong village. Our tour guide apologized repeatedly for her English skills which was very gracious. There were times that she was hard to understand. However, her real-life insights and storytelling were excellent and could not be gained otherwise.

Good to see Doi Suthep Temple - Good driver and transportation to Doi Suthep Temple. Our guide was quite helpful in explaining features about Doi Suthep and Buddhism; however, the Bhubing Palace option was not available, and no explanation was given about the Hmong village--instead, we were just dropped off in a market and given "free time."
