• Panmen Gate - Next, proceed to Panmen Gate, a popular historic landmark in Suzhou that offers a picturesque glimpse into ancient times. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the peaceful grounds with a lake and towers, admire the 1700-year-old Ruiguang Pagoda, and learn about the intriguing folklore. Stroll along the ancient City Wall with its unique water and land gate, once used as a strategic defense for the city, and see the largest stone bridge across the Grand Canal.
• Pingjiang Road - Then, head to the historic Pingjiang Road or the lively Shantang Old Street. Enjoy exploring the vibrant water markets along the ancient canal, lined with traditional Chinese houses, willow trees, and stone bridges. Discover unique local arts, crafts, trinkets, and eateries. You may also enjoy some souvenir shopping or opt for a relaxing gondola ride along the peaceful canal to fully appreciate the charm of the “Oriental Venice.” If you have already visited the above sites or prefer other options, you could choose to visit the famous Tiger Hill with the Leaning Pagoda, the renowned Suzhou Museum, Hanshan Buddhist Temple, etc. After the wonderful tour, your guide will see you off at your Suzhou hotel or another downtown area as per your request.
