A walk back into history. - The big fiddle is a great spot for a photo op and the welcome center is great with food, souvenier shops, cothing shops, a great first stop to then go onward sightseeing. An excursion to Fortress Louisbourg is just an amazing walk back in time to the early history of Nova Scotia. It is just great that the Canadian government restored and preserved this historic place. The staff and the the restaurnt was outstanding.

No additional value - The tour was more a ride in and out of the Forteresse. The guide at little information to share about the Forteresse or recommandations on what to tour. The guide had never done a complete visit of the site. I didn’t find that two hours was enough to visit the site. I would recommend taking a cab in and out of the Forteresse, this tour had no additional values. Also the pickup situation was very unprofessional, the guide was 15 minutes late, the company told me I had no booking. When he finally arrives he had no visible sign that he was with the company, he also came with is personal car with no visual sign. I was alone on the tour and this made me feel insecure to start the tour.

We enjoyed the trip , but can't recommend this tour company - I would give the company a 1 star but it si 3 stars because our tour driver, Michael, saved the day. We booked this trip at 10:30 while in port for our cruise. The description says it last 4 hours so we wanted to be careful to get back to the ship on time. The day before, we got a call that the 10:30 slot as no longer available but we could change to 8:30 or 11:40. 8:30 was not possible as we couldn't get of the ship that early. So, we accepted 11:40 knowing that we had a tight window. We arrived at the meeting place and 4 other people were there with the same story. But, NO DRIVER! After 15 minutes, we all started calling See Sight Tours. You get a call center and they have no clue of your situation. But, they said that the driver was on the way. He finally arrived at 12:15. However, his car could not hold all 6 people! He was also confused and didn't realize what was going on as he was called at he last minute to come get us. The other 4 people got spoked and cancelled, so we going to ask for a refund. We talked to the driver and he was willing to take us to the Fort, but we knew that the time would be shorter. We agreed if the company could give us a discount which he confirmed. So, in the end, we had a nice trip as Michael was very attentive and helpful. We returned on time and the company did reimburse us about 25%. We felt lucky that we were able to recover but sad for the others that found themselves in a last minute scramble to find an excursion during the day. By the way, the next day, in Halifax we were on an excursion by the same company and while our trip was OK, it also had problems that showed the same problems with how this company operates: See that review on the Peggy's Cove trip.

Not a Great Experience with This Company - The fortress itself is a wonderful place with knowledgeable docents in costume, making it easy to spend hours exploring and learning. Unfortunately, the driver who took us there was 30 minutes late picking us up and 30 minutes late showing up to take us back. Also, after we booked the tour for 10:30, the company had to move it to 12:30. We definitely did not get our money’s worth.

This is a driver only... - This is a driver only service. Driver had no signage and was driving an unmarked car. App told us 0830 meeting, driver was told 0900. Call to office and told to go to church just outside port and driver would be there promptly at 0900. Driver told to meet us at port. When driver didn’t show, tried calling back but now calls just went to voice mail. At 0925 the driver finally called us direct and we were able to finally connect an hour after departure time we were told. The car needed a good exterior cleaning to get streaks off the windows. Driver was pleasant enough but basically he drove us to Fort, bought our tickets, and then arranged a time for him to pick us back up. On drive home we learned he drove back to Sydney to get more guests and that he basically just shuttles back and forth. This is not what I expected from description provided. We ended up with one hour and 45 minutes in Louisbourg.

No communication - There was no experience because our driver never showed up. The customer service tried to help but he was MIA.

Very Disappointed - That was a very disappointing tour. It was meant to be 4 hours with a minimum 2 hours at the fort. We were back in 3 with only an hour at the fort. The driver’s reasons were that he had another pick up whilst we were at the fort, and then another one after picking us up to take us back to the port. In essence, he was only giving us an hour to look round the fort which was obviously not enough. However, he never left the fort to make the 1st pick up and then he is making an unscheduled stop off at a lighthouse on the way back and showing us shops and fuel pumps back in Sydney. So l'm not sure why we didn't get more time at the fort as the 2nd pick up never happened either. I really did not understand what he was doing - it certainly wasn’t the tour advertised. We were really disappointed as were the other couple in the vehicle.

Disappointed - Tour was canceled by the company at the last minute. We were issued a refund, but we had to come up with our own plans for the day.

Horrible - Never showed up for our tour. After waiting 15 minutes past tour departure time called Trip Advisor and was informed vehicle broke down. Do NOT use this tour company
