Szentendere, a nice town to visit - Nice town to walk through. Peter took us to a bakery where we had a delicious coffee and pastry. Then he took us to a friend who had a souvenir shop there where we bought something nice. The castle / ruin Visagrad was also beautiful to see, especially DE viewpoints. Peter was a great tour guide who enthusiastically told everything. All in all a nice trip when you are in Budapest or surroundings

Very enjoyable. Richard was great - Richard drove us on a half day tour and he was excellent. Great explanations and very personable. The two sites were worth the drive as well. Highly recommend

A lovely half day out of town - We enjoyed our half day in Szentendre and Visegrad. Our driver and guide Richard, read our group of 4 well and provided an informative tour that was well paced, and well timed to avoid the crowded times at each location. The sites were lovely. We were picked up at the hotel, the driving was excellent, and at our request we were dropped off at a museum we wanted to visit. While this did not take anything away from the positive experience, having bottled water in the car would have been welcome. Definitely recommend the tour and guide.

Excellent trip outside of Budapest town - The itinerary was good and we really enjoyed but there were quite many stairs to climb up. Maybe not for senior who has a limited ability to move.

Excellent guide & journey. - Richard was excellent going at our pace and with good descriptions as we traveled to the village and castle. An enjoyable day out.

Relaxing Tour - Our tour guide Richard was very knowledgeable of the history of Budapest and the surrounding areas. It was a very relaxing tour as he handled all the logistics and ticketing.

- Szentendre is a friendly little village on the banks of the Danube (some souvenir shops, nice houses and a very good quality pastry shop-tea room. The view from the heights of Visegrad is beautiful. The castle itself is not necessarily of great interest to the French who already know the medieval castles of France

BEWARE - Excursion Host may cancel at the very last minute - I'm fairly certain this would have been a nice excursion but I need to share our experience to create awareness for anyone that may want to make reservations for this. We had the extremely unfortunate experience of getting cancelled by Richard, the tour guide, at the very last minute. There was no warning and no reason provided, just that he had tried to contact us a day or so prior to the excursion to see if we could shift to another day. I had done everything right - reserved the excursion 6 weeks in advance and then paid in full 9 days in advance. I checked my reservation prior to our 2 long days of travel and everything was still fine with the reservation. Again, I'm sure the scenery and locations are beautiful, I just cannot recommend signing up for this one with Richard and Explore Hungary. There are other options for exploring Szentendre and the Visegrad Castle.
