• Tourist Information & Culture Center YANESEN - Consider enjoying a calligraphy session during your Yanaka walk. A skilled calligrapher will guide you in writing basic calligraphy. Then, select a character and practice writing it with the instructor’s help. Finally, you can inscribe your favorite character on a Shikishi board.

This calligraphy lesson is a cultural experience program provided by the Tourist Information Center in Yanaka. Both children and adults can participate and enjoy this program. Although calligraphy is often seen as a complex art form, it can also be enjoyable. Friendly and experienced Sensei will guide you through the process!
