Incredible wonderful teaching - Amazing inversive experience! In 2-3 hours I learned so much from the very delightful and patient lady, Sashie? Not sure of her name, but she was an INCREDIBLE teacher. In just a little while I was able to do a beautiful calligraphy gift for a friend of mine who’s helped me through tragedy of losing my beloved hubby. We both dreamt of visiting Japan, sadly, I had to go solo. Highly recommend this class, it is WELL WORTH the money. The teacher made such an impression and was so encouraging , I’m now taking a class online for beginning Japanese including Hiragana characters. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Beginning to learn Japanese calligraphy - An excellent experience with a friendly and helpful teacher and it was great fun. I was the only pupil so I had a personal lesson! I tried to learn how to write “knitting” in Japanese which involves complicated characters!! But it was good to try and makes a lightweight souvenir!

Such a cool experience - Highly recommend! It was so fun learning to do true calligraphy with ink. My 5 year old loved it as well, and the instructor was so helpful to him as he is still learning to write letters in English and wasn't fully ready for this. But he LOVED it! It is in a small, hot room in a hostel so wear light clothes and be prepared, but overall great experience.

An authentic local experience in learning Japanese calligraphy. - A really enjoyable and informative experience with our host and teacher Zuisen who was very knowledgeable, spoke great English and was very patient with our calligraphy training! Highly recommended.

Not a clean place ! Teacher was great! - The teacher was very nice and helpful. The location was hard to find. The place was awful the class is in the kitchen of an hostel people eating and in and out of the place. Dirty and unhealthy! environment! Not suitable for people with mobillty problems because of the stairs! Nice teacher horrible location!,,,,
