- Shinkyō Bridge - Upon reaching Nikko, a panoramic view of the iconic Shinkyo Bridge can be enjoyed from the bus. This sacred bridge, painted in bright red, elegantly spans the Daiya River and is one of the most photographed landmarks in the area.
- Nikko Tosho-gu - The next stop is the magnificent Toshogu Shrine, the lavish mausoleum of shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu—considered one of Japan’s most beautiful and ornately decorated shrines. Renowned for its vibrant colors and intricate carvings, the shrine features iconic symbols like the “Three Wise Monkeys” and the “Sleeping Cat.”
If you choose the ticket option, you’ll have full access to explore the richly adorned inner areas of the shrine complex, including the five-story pagoda, while learning about the Tokugawa family’s lasting impact on Japanese history.

After a 40-minute bus ride, you’ll arrive at the Kegon Falls area, where you’ll have 1 hour and 20 minutes of free time to admire this 97-meter-high waterfall. You can walk to the observation deck or take an elevator to get closer to the base of the falls. This is also the perfect time to enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant, where you can taste local specialties like yuba (tofu skin) or freshwater fish dishes.
(Please note: in the event of weather-related road closures, the Kegon Falls visit will be replaced with a panoramic view of Rinnoji Temple)
