Fantastic tour - Fantastic tour! We had plenty of time to enjoy the views at each attractions. Our guide Franc H was great. He seemed knowlegable and funny, kept us engaged throughout the trip without being boring. The tour itself took us to some brearhtaking places that must be visited while in Japan. Would highly recommend!

Go to Nikko/Kegon Waterfall/Chuzenji Lake, but not with this tour - Before booking the tour I was debating about doing the day trip ourselves or with a tour. I chose to do the tour bc transportation seemed better/simpler than figuring it out on our own and in the past I've really enjoyed the additional information of being with a guide who knows the local history etc. I would not do the tour again and I wish we had done the day trip on our own for the following reasons: We had to be up early to meet at the rendezvous point, we double checked the meeting point before bed and again in the morning and was half an hour early to the meet up point. We walked around the block twice asking locals if we were in the right location, and other tourists if they were doing the tour. Finally with only 5min to departure, I started to panic. I got someone to hotspot me and I had received an email at 630am (tour departure was 700am) that the location had changed. We were 10mins away and ran like crazy to try and make it, which we thankfully did. Despite that the first part of the tour, seeing the bridge and Nikko was really nice. The guides did offer up some information, though it felt basic. I found myself actually listening in on other tour guide groups that were giving more information. The second part of the day was visiting the waterfall and lake. Unfortunately, it was so foggy we couldn't see either. Despite there being a contingency that if the weather was bad we would go somewhere else- but I guess that only would be applicable if the road was closed? Anyhow, I was really disappointed and the guide only made jokes about how this never happens, we must be lucky etc. I thought it was in pour taste. We traveled halfway around the world to see it and couldn't. I get weather is unpredictable and out of their control, but don't make jokes, no one was laughing, it was awkward. Insult to injury as we were leaving the fog lifted. In retrospect I wish I had stayed and found my own transit back so we could have enjoyed the lake and revisited the falls (which were actually pretty close in proximity). Shout out to the driver Waku, he was amazing, driving was awesome, wasn't motion sick at all (which I typically am), especially going down the mountain through switchbacks. He was absolutely great, even had little chocolates popular in Japan, for us to try when we re-boarded the bus after a service stop! Lastly, before arriving back into Tokyo, the guide Sheila got on the PA and announced to the bus that despite tipping not being a thing in Japan, that she wasn't Japanese so she would gladly accept tips and that her lively hood was dependent on 5 star reviews and just awkwardly went on about this for sometime. I would not recommend doing this day trip with this group specifically.
