Kalaikhum - Start the day with breakfast and embark on a morning hike to the second lake, located approximately 2.3 km beyond the last guesthouse. Delight in the azure alpine lakes and the horizon of towering peaks, which require an additional overnight stay to fully appreciate. Retrace your steps to your vehicle and drive to Kalaikhum along a stunning road that follows the river to the Vanj Valley, where the road widens. Continue along the Afghan border to Kalaikhum Village, enjoying the picturesque scenery. Upon arrival, settle into a guesthouse.

Kalaikhum to Dushanbe, 5–6 hr

Dushanbe - After breakfast, journey to Dushanbe along the Panj River, passing through numerous local villages. The route is flanked by deep rocky valleys and majestic mountains, leading up to the Shurobod Pass before reaching Kulab Village. Enjoy lunch at a Chaikana (local café) and visit the 11th-century Hulbuk Palace en route. Marvel at the distant views of the world’s highest hydropower station, Nurek. Upon arrival in Dushanbe, check into your hotel.

Dushanbe – Iskander Kul Lake – Sarytag Village, 3-4 hr

Iskander Kul Lake – Kulikalon Lake – Artush Village

Artuch - Travel to the mountaineering camp via Artush Village, passing through charming villages that offer a glimpse of local life. Upon arrival, begin a hike along the river, turning right into the gorge at the junction of three valleys. The trail gradually ascends to the top of the pass, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the alpine Lake Kulikalon at the base of the glaciated Chimtarga Peak, the highest point in the Fan Mountains. Take in the natural beauty before returning to your vehicle and driving back to Artush Village. Enjoy dinner and a homestay accommodation.

Artush Village– Seven Lakes – Penjikent City

Seven Lakes - Drive to the Seven Lakes, known locally as Haft-Kul, passing through terraced villages on the mountain slopes. A one-hour drive from the main road leads to the first lake. Explore the uniquely colored lakes, stopping at each one. Arrive at the seventh lake, Hazor Chashma, and take a break for lunch while admiring the turquoise beauty. Return to your vehicle and head back to Penjikent City for hotel accommodation.
