• Nagarebashi - At the Japan Pavilion of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, the ‘Flowing Bridge’ is on display. This innovative design minimizes damage by allowing bridge girders to be washed away during floods and then recovered and restored, showcasing disaster prevention and mitigation expertise. A restaurant here offers healthy and delicious obanzai, made with fresh, safe, and locally sourced vegetables. The domestic pork shabu-shabu is also exceptional! • Tsubosaka-dera Temple - The view of a three-story pagoda and a hall emerging amidst cherry blossoms covering the temple grounds is awe-inspiring, earning it the name ‘Temple of Cherry Blossom Clouds.’ The Great Buddha, surrounded by cherry blossoms and known as the ‘Cherry Blossom Great Buddha,’ is gaining popularity as a new cherry blossom viewing spot in Nara. The temple is also dedicated to Kannon, revered for miraculous powers in healing eye ailments.

• Todai-ji Temple - Nara Park, situated at the base of Mount Wakakusa, is a historic site next to the Great Buddha of Todaiji Temple. Home to about 1,300 wild deer, it draws numerous visitors from Japan and abroad. The park features approximately 1,700 cherry trees on its flatlands and is recognized as one of Japan’s top 100 cherry blossom spots. After exploring Todaiji Temple, enjoy a leisurely walk around Nara Park.
