- Settsukyo Park - Upon disembarking from the bus, the group will embark on a 2.1km hike, reaching the most picturesque section of Settsukyo Gorge, which follows the Akuta River. Here, participants can spend 30 minutes to an hour enjoying the pristine waters, either by dipping their feet or taking a swim amidst the valley’s natural splendor. Following this, the group will continue along the river, with an optional 10-minute detour to a secluded waterfall.
- Settsukyo Park - After descending from the mountain, the group will pass through a park to rest, relax, and purchase refreshments such as drinks or ice cream at one of the rest stops. In spring, visitors can admire the stunning Sakura cherry blossoms; in summer, the lush greenery and vibrant flowers, along with fireflies; in fall, the warm red tones of Japanese maple leaves; and in winter, the tranquil serenity of nature.
- Bijin-yu Shofuen - At the conclusion of the hike, the group will visit the Bijin-yu hot spring, one of the few authentic Onsens in Osaka. The water is entirely natural and possesses therapeutic qualities. Before entering the baths, a comprehensive explanation of the proper bathing etiquette will be provided. The baths are divided into male and female sections, ensuring privacy. Nudity is required, so feel free to inquire about the bathing dos and don’ts. It is a truly liberating experience, so there’s no need to be shy. After leaving the baths, participants can share their experiences and then catch the bus back to the station to bid farewell.
