(Mulkirigala Raja Maha Vihara is an ancient Buddhist temple located in Mulkirigala, Sri Lanka. It is built on a natural rock that stands 205 meters (673 feet) high, surrounded by four other rocks known as Benagala, Kondagala, Bisogala, and Seelawathiegala. The temple is officially recognized by the government as an archaeological site in Sri Lanka. Nestled within a forest of coconut trees, the serene rock temples of Mulkirigala offer a peaceful retreat. Climb the 500 or so steps to discover a series of seven cleft-like caves on five different terraced levels. Inside the caves, you will find large reclining Buddha statues alongside smaller sitting and standing figures. The temple offers a breathtaking view.) Afterward, the tour proceeds to the Big Buddha Temple, with a refreshing coconut drink along the way.

• Wewurukannala Vihara - The Big Buddha is one of the most remarkable Buddhist temples in Sri Lanka. The Wewurukannala Vihara temple is dominated by a seated Buddha statue that stands 160 feet high, making it the largest statue in Sri Lanka. It dates back to the era of King Rajadhi (1782 – 1798). The temple consists of three parts, with the oldest section being around 250 years old. The final destination of the trip is the Blow Hole.
• Hummanaya Blow Hole - Hummanaya is the only known blowhole in Sri Lanka and is considered the second largest in the world. It is a natural phenomenon caused when sea water rushes through a submerged cavern and is forced upwards. The sea water flows beneath the shore and emerges from this hole due to pressure. After visiting, the tour returns to Tangalle, arriving at your hotel around 1:30 pm.

(If you prefer to witness the beautiful sunset at the Rock Temple, the tour can start at 1:30 pm, beginning with the Blow Hole, followed by the Big Buddha Temple, and concluding with the Rock Temple.
