Blue Elephant Cooking School & Restaurant Phuket - • 09:30am Arrival and refreshing health drinks or tea and coffee at the Blue Elephant Bar of the Governor’s Mansion Phuket Town. Departure for the local morning market. Our chef will guide you while you discover the diverse Thai fruits and vegetables and he or she will explain the use of the multicolored spices!
• 10:20am Time to return to the Cooking School. The chef will discuss the 4-course meal you will prepare. Let’s move to the theory class!
• 10:40am Now the chef will demonstrate and explain step by step the very Thai dishes you will prepare! Each student will receive a booklet with the recipes of the day and a Blue Elephant apron.
• 11:30am Time to put your hands on the cooking utensils at the Practice Room. Each student has his own space and wok. Assisted by our instructors you will learn and experience the culinary techniques of Thai cuisine. Four dishes are waiting to be prepared by you.
• 12:30pm The course comes to an end. It is time for the remittance of the Certificate and of the Souvenir.
• 01:15pm Lunch. Now you can taste and enjoy your own preparation in a convivial Thai setting at the Blue Elephant Restaurant.

The Blue Elephant Thai cooking class in Phuket is located in a century-old Sino-Portuguese mansion. Our Chefs are recognized around the world as the most emblematic icons of Thai cuisine. You will get the chance to learn by their sides. You will learn to select Thai ingredients for your own personal cooking. The class will be followed by a meal in our delightful restaurant sampling your own cooking as well as additional Thai dishes if you wish to order.
- Learn how to cook popular 4 Thai dishes with our certified chefs.
- Tour at the fresh market and discover how locals are buying and preparing their food. The tour at the market is not only the opportunity to buy few supplies for the cooking class, but you’ll also learn a lot about Thai culinary traditions but feel free to ask any question as the tour will be customized for you.
- Dine on your creations after the class. Receives a culinary certificate and then savors their masterpieces in our restaurant.
- Child ticket age between 6-11 years
- Pick-ups are not included for this tour

Great experience - It was a very full experience, starting with a visit to the market, then instruction, followed by our own cooking experience, and wrapping up with a delicious meal that each of us prepared. Chef/teacher was affable and thorough. I have a gluten intolerance, and he was most vigilant in making sure that I didn't accidentally ingest something problematic. Apron, tote, and samples were great to remember the experience. If you enjoy food and time in the kitchen, I highly recommend this experience.

A Highlight of our Trip - We so enjoyed our time with Chef Paul. We were two couples out of five traveling for 35 days on a segment of a round the world trip. We went with no expectations and were so delighted with the outcome. First we went the market and learned about the ingredients we were going to use . Chef Paul bought a few things he felt we should try as well. We were given water and fresh coconut juice to keep us hydrated. We were welcomed with cherry juice when we arrived. There is a real studio setting where the chef prepares the food and you watch then you go to another room where each person is given the ingredients and guided through making each dish. The food is then taken to the restaurant where you are served your meal for lunch. I made a few mistakes but it was still delicious! We loved getting to know the chef and meeting his lovely wife.Thank you for our recipes and apron as well as a few curries to take home. Thank you for helping me to cook gluten free which has been difficult on our ship. I appreciate your consideration. Chef Paul put so much effort into giving us an experience we will not forget.

Hit the Jackpot Here! - My original cooking class canceled so I rolled the dice on this one. Jackpot! Can’t express of much I enjoyed Molly, her knowledge and quick whit! Prepared 4 dishes, the instructions were easy after she demonstrated her skills. The only problem was I couldn’t eat all the food I cooked! How fun it was!!!!

H&R's Thai spice day - My partner and I had a great time learning all the secrets to Thai cooking.(remember, if you don't cough while you cook, then you don't have enough spice 😆)The in depth market tour was a great touch. The course was easy to follow. And nice and relaxed.

A+++ for Tik - Amazing experience. Tik was a great host who really knew her stuff. We made spring rolls, soup, panang curry & mango sticky rice & savored along the way. Really fun & interactive.

Best Market tour and Thai cooking experience - Best Thai cooking class experience plus Market tour, so many sights and smells, from freshest ingredients to fresh shrimp paste and fresh coconut. All dishes presented in Blue Elephant restaurant with many instagram opportunities. My Partner said best Thai Green chicken curry and stir fry beef he has ever had. Highly recommended!!!

12/10 must do when in Phuket!! 👩🍳 - Worth every penny. Must do when in Puket. We worked with Pat and had THE MOST FUN cooking and all of the meals we made were so delicious. She was prompt, funny, knowledgeable and made the class more fun then we could've imagined. 12/10 would recommend and would do again.

Wet but satisfied - We enjoyed the day seeing the island sites. The glass bottom cable car ride was great, but thunderstorms kept us from enjoying the sites at the top. So we had a coffee and made some new friends waiting for the rain to stop. Had time for a local snack. Would do it again in better weather.
