Best summer dog mushing experience - The tour was a great experience, and meeting the dogs and - especially the tiny puppies - was wonderful. We like very much that we could drive the carts ourselves. We learned a lot about the Iditarod race and how the champions prepare. :-) Our friends liked our photos so much that they joined another tour two days later. ;-)

I didn’t want to do this… - When I planned my vacation to Alaska, I did not book a sled dog tour. I’m an animal lover who has volunteered at shelters and felt like I would struggle seeing “working” dogs- and dogs being bred. After chatting with a couple from Chicago about their experience with Dallas Seavey’s dogs, I was persuaded to give it a try, I have to tell you that learning more about these dogs, their work and the Iditarod really changed my perspective on working dogs. All teams may not be as blessed as those owned by Seavey- but I’m pleased my money helps support his team. If you are someone questioning how you might feel about this experience, rest assured you will come away feeling great about supporting this team and enjoying learning about these beautiful creatures.

“Fun, Unique Venue with Sled Dogs and Smores!” ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - We held our Fall Managers Meeting at AK Sled Dogs and it was such a memorable experience! The outdoor venue provided plenty of space for everyone to spread out, mix and mingle, and even enjoy some team games. The sled dog rides were a huge highlight, and spending time with the puppies brought smiles all around. We capped off the day making s'mores around the fire. If you’re looking for a unique Alaskan experience that combines fun activities, beautiful outdoor space, and of course, amazing sled dogs—this is it. Highly recommend!

Great visit!! - Great experience, fun and loved seeing the care of all the dogs. The dry dog sledding was lots of fun. They let us wear mud boots for those pockets of rain water. Thx to Camón for the great time.

Super fun! - Beautiful time! The dogs are amazing and so intense but very sweet. Driving/riding our own “sled” through the trails was so fun. The guides are super knowledgeable and accommodating.

Once in a lifetime experience - If you love dogs and want to learn more about the Iditarod, this is the experience for you! The staff was incredible and taught us everything we needed to know. It was a rainy day, but that didn't matter, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to mush our own sled dogs! After mushing, we had the opportunity to meet the dogs and the puppies. The staff gave a very informative tour and taught us all about the Iditarod. We spent a leisurely day and didn't feel rushed through the tour or meeting the pups. It is clear that the staff love their dogs and love their jobs. Thank you for giving us an unforgettable experience! If you are driving from Anchorage to Denali, this is well worth the pitstop in Talkeetna. You don't want to miss this opportunity.

An adventure to remember - An absolutely grand adventure! I was a little hesitant about it since it wasn’t across the snow, but I should not have been! We learned so much about the dogs, their training and the Iditarod race. Our team of Gabby, Cate, and Zsofi were personable, passionate and professional. We got to pet all the sled dogs we wanted, hold the pups, feed the reindeer and then, best of all, drive the wheeled sled across the tundra as the dog team pulled us. We were actually helping them train for next year’s Iditarod and now we are officially “Sled Dog Tough”! We’ll be pulling for Dallas Seavey Racing to rake the trophy again next year!
