• Susitna Sled Dog Adventures - Discover the exciting world of mushing and understand why these dogs are so passionate about running! Enjoy a guided tour in our comfortable, 5-passenger vehicle, ideal for families! It features a robust engine to support the dogs on challenging terrain. Depending on the weather, our sled dog rides vary from 0.5 to 2 miles (we keep it shorter in the summer to ensure our pups stay cool). During the ride, we’ll pause for photos with the dogs and rotate seating in the vehicle so everyone can appreciate the view.

After the ride, prepare for an enjoyable kennel tour where you can play with the pups as they frolic in the yard. Following that, we’ll conduct a dog demonstration, showcasing a dog in harness and full winter gear, along with our sleds and equipment.

Dive into the fascinating world of sled dogs, learn the essentials of race competition, and see why these remarkable animals excel in their unique roles. Enjoy stories about the dogs and hear about our trail adventures. After a dryland ride and some fun in the yard, we’ll dress a dog in a harness, introduce you to the sled, and discuss the winter gear we use. If there are puppies, the visit will conclude with some cuddling with the future champions.
