Our guide was fantastic, we had just as much of a history tour as a food tour. We ate great food and learned a lot. - It was a great experience that involved food and history. Our guide was very informative and very informative tune to what we liked.

Great tour! - An excellent food tour - including parts outside of Old Town. Great selection of food, with explanations as well as Estonian history.

Unique foods and beverages - “Life is short, eat dessert first”! We began with the chocolate tour and tasting, which was fine with us. The chocolate was delicious! So many unique flavors to try and enjoy. Paul gave us the history of Tallinn as we walked, which we appreciated. Our stops included the medieval tavern for a hearty stew and boar and elk pastry, the oldest cafe in Tallinn, the oldest apothecary in Europe, an indoor/outdoor market and the photography museum. We tried foods we wouldn’t have experienced outside the tour. At the end, Paul gave us additional places to visit and try. The tour was a quick three hours and we would do it again.

Old Town Food Tour - Our guide was very kind and spoke English well. This tour was dampened by the extreme number of people in the old town of Tallinn due to cruise arrivals and the lack of actual local spots/ cuisine included on the tour. If you are looking to hit the most frequented (by tourists) restaurants in a short amount of time, then this tour certainly accomplishes that goal. In our experience, you can count on having a guide that is trustworthy and communicates well. Beyond that, your experience could adjust up or down with the size of the crowd that day in the city.

Overpriced - Overpriced for amount of food. I have dinner a food tour in 5+ major European cities and this was the most expensive with the least amount of food.

Overpriced for what you get - The tour included great history and sites, but the cost did not match the amount of food. We have done for tours in 5+ European cities and this has been the most expensive with the least amount of food.

Tour Guide Didn’t Show Up - Unfortunately we had the same experience as several other reviews on this page, our tour guide did not show up! We had two in our party and another couple were also waiting with us for 25 minutes past the tour start time. We arrived over 15 minutes before the tour start time so there was so no way missed them. We both tried calling and messaging the tour company with no responses. Definitely a bummer! Luckily since the meeting spot was in front of the Tallinn tourist office, there happened to be a free walking tour starting at 12pm, so we went on that and at least still got to learn about the towns history from a guide, and she was kind enough to give food recommendations! She also said she’s heard this particular tour company has been having issues. I did also message Viator and they responded immediately and have initiated the refund process, so you can trust Viator to help resolve your issues! Tallinn is a beautiful town and it’s a great day trip from Helsinki, I just wouldn’t book this tour if I were you!
