Tamale - Mole National Park Cultural Experience

Tamale - • Begin with a pick-up from Tamale airport and head to the Savannah Centre for Contemporary Art (SCCA). This is an artist-led project space, exhibition and research hub, cultural repository, and artists’ residency focused on art and cultural practices from the 20th Century.

Tamale - • Travel to Mole National Park (2-hour drive)

Mole National Park - • Enjoy lunch with a view of the Savannah, surrounded by nature.
• Guests are treated to a sunset evening JEEP safari, offering an adventure through 4,912km² of diverse flora and over 93 mammal species, including approximately 436 elephants, warthogs, waterbucks, kobs, bushbucks, hartebeests, antelopes, baboons, monkeys, birds, and many other species, all while watching the sunset.

Mole National Park - Tamale

Mole National Park - • Embark on a morning walking safari (2 hours) to witness the sunrise.

Mole National Park - • Spend a few hours relaxing at the viewpoint, observing animals swimming or drinking from the dam, and enjoying the wildlife (with the hope of an elephant greeting near the hotel).

Mognori - • Experience an Eco-canoe safari to observe village life and enjoy excellent birdwatching opportunities. Guests explore Mognori Eco-Village on a canoe safari along the Mole River, under the lush forest canopy. The serene environment offers views of animals drinking from the river and various bird species singing and flying overhead. Following the river adventure, there is a community tour featuring the local medicine man, herdsmen settlement, and more.
• Discover the process of transforming Shea nuts into all-natural Shea butter, with the opportunity to purchase the purest and freshest products.

Mole - Larabanga - Tamale Historical Experience

Larabanga - • Visit Ghana’s only 100% Muslim community en route from Mole National Park. The Larabanga community is home to the renowned Mosque (Masjid) and a trans-Sahara trade route Mystic Stone. Known as the oldest Mosque in Ghana and one of the oldest in West Africa, the Larabanga Mosque, built around 1421 in the Sudanese Architectural style, is a cultural treasure. Guests learn about the community and its attractions.

Tamale - • Return to Tamale (2-hour drive)

Tamale - • Explore the bustling market of Tamale, where people from across the region and neighboring countries come to trade, offering a vibrant and interesting experience.
• Visit the largest leather factory in the Northern Region, where guests witness the creation of leather shoes, belts, wallets, sandals, bags, and more, from raw skin to finished product. Guests can even try making their own sandals.
• The journey concludes at the drop-off point, either the airport or the next adventure destination, such as Wechiau, Paga Crocodile Pond, Sirigu pottery, Tongo Hills & Tengzug Shrines, Salaga Slave Market, Kintampo Falls, Boabeng Fiama Monkey Sanctuary, Cape Coast, Elmina Fishing Community & Castle, Kakum Rainforest Canopy Walk, and more.
