Begin your day at our Tamarin base, where your guide will provide an introduction to kayaking and essential safety tips. No prior experience is necessary.

As the sun rises over the west coast, paddle into the tranquil waters of Tamarin Bay, renowned as one of the premier locations to encounter dolphins in Mauritius. By moving silently in a kayak, you’ll have the opportunity to observe these magnificent creatures naturally, without causing any disturbance.

Spend approximately two hours exploring the bay with your guide. If dolphins are present, you’ll approach them with respect, adhering to strict guidelines to ensure a safe and ethical interaction.

Unlike many boat tours, our method is designed to minimize impact on wildlife:

• Quiet, non-motorized approach

Important note: Dolphins are wild animals, and sightings cannot be guaranteed. If they are not present, your guide will lead you on an alternative route exploring the Tamarin River, known for its birdlife and serene atmosphere.
