During this time, guests can savor delightful drinks, take in the breathtaking scenery, and possibly spot marine life such as whales, dolphins, turtles, and rays. The boat will then anchor in a cove near Playa Huevos for various water activities. Following these activities, guests will return to the boat to enjoy a delicious, light meal around 4 PM. After the meal, the anchor will be lifted, and the return trip to Tamarindo will commence. Throughout the journey, guests can enjoy good music, drinks, perhaps some dancing, and likely witness a stunning sunset. The return to shore is scheduled just after sunset.

Tours during the high season tend to sell out, so it’s advisable to book early. The reservation cut-off time is 11:30 am on the day of the tour.

Great excursion! - So glad we went with Blue Dolphin!This catamaran is a great size and not host to an overwhelming amount of people. Chute, Gustav and team took great care of us with drinks and snacks and a delicious buffet of food.
The spot they take you to for swimming and snorkeling and a beach walk is also not overwhelmed with people like we’ve experienced on other similar trips. They have pool noodles, snorkel gear, paddle boards and kayaks to use.
The sunset ride back was the topper.

Family-friendy Sunset Catamaran Sail - better than the bigger ones. - Chute, Koca and the rest of the crew showed us a FABULOUS time aboard the Blue Dolphin. This tour was well suited for families or those not looking for a wild spring break type of party. I appreciated that this catamaran was a bit smaller than the others we saw. They took us out to a beautiful remote area near a beach, gave us pool noodles, fins, snorkel gear to check out the coral and swim back and forth to the beach, all drinks (including alcohol) were included. They also had a paddle board and kayak for those how wanted to try it. The music and vibe were fabulous/. They served excellent food (we are vegan and the black beans, salad, fruit and chips were solid) and the omnivores had Chicken fajitas and some banana bread they were raving over. I'd go back and take other visitors in a heartbeat!

So much fun! - I had the best time ever. Charlie was super nice and made sure to check on me which was nice because I was solo. Don’t hesitate to book. You will have a great time.

The highlight of our trip to Costa Rica! - We had an amazing time on the Blue Dolphin Catamaran Tour! The crew was very friendly and provided us with delicious drinks and snacks throughout the day. Once we anchored one of the crew members hopped in the water with us while we snorkeled and took us to where the fish were. The boat itself was great as well! Well maintained and very comfortable with a lot of room to lounge, relax and even dance. And to top it all off we saw a couple of whales during our tour too! Don't hesitate to book a tour with the Blue Dolphin, it was an amazing experience!

Best boating experience! - We had an amazing time. The boat was way less crowded than some of the of the other cruises we saw on the water so you could actually move around. The guides were wonderful. They kept our drinks full and the food was great. One of the guides went out snorkeling with us and made it a point to show us different fish and things we wouldn’t have spotted on our own. They even pulled in a massive red snapper while we were out there! Definitely recommend this experience.

Highly recommend! - The Blue Dolphin crew was great from the start. They greeted us promptly and directed us to a spot in the shade to wait. Aboard the catamaran drinks were waiting and flowed throughout the whole trip- alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We had about an hour and 20 mins to play in the ocean and then had a delicious lunch provided by the crew. Would highly recommend, especially since it’s a smaller boat!

Fun experience! - Amazing experience! The crew were super helpful and attentive. The dinner they served was incredible and it was pretty cool to see the pacific sunset from the boat. My only feedback is we did find it a little long to be on the boat without much to do and could likely be shortened. Overall a great experience!

Different from expectations - Reading the description and other reviews I was expecting a cruise with the opportunity to see dolphins and whales and snorkel. Being at sea this possibility is there but certainly the focus of this company is not nature. Very loud music and open bar. Other passengers (unlike me completely aware of what they had booked) called it a booze cruise. We still had fun and the dinner served was delicious but here, do not book this tour if you are interested in animal sightings or looking for something vaguely naturalistic.
