Afterwards you’ll return to the boat for a light meal and then we will return to Tamarindo. Enjoying the costal scenery while imbibing on refreshing beverages along the way.

Our tour is great for any type of group such as family, friends, wedding parties and birthday parties. We operate two sailing catamarans: Blue Dolphin 1 is a 40’ open layout catamaran and Blue Dolphin 2 is a large 50’ cruising style catamaran. We offer public and private charters. Our catamarans are outfitted for maximum fun and comfort. Our licensed staff provides excellent service while ensuring safety.

Meeting time is 15 minutes prior to tour and meet point and boarding are on the beach in front of El Chirinquito restaurant, 100 yards south of the rotunda.

A fantastic cruise on a fun catamaran - Amazing charter with Blue Dolphin Sailing. Great crew, lots of fun, and smooth sailing. We had a party of 11 and we sailed in the morning from 8 - 12 noon. We got on at Tamarindo beach, which was an 8 min walk down the beach from our hotel. That was so much better than getting in a van for an hour ride to Marina Flamingo where other catamarans are docked. It was seamless sailing. We went out to a private cove where we snorkeled, swam, and hung out on a private beach. It really was a standout experience for our friends to hang out on the catamaran. We had a few drinks during the morning, and really enjoyed the smooth sailing. It's a must do as you get to see a different side of Tamarindo and the wonderful CR coastline. A great 4 hour cruise. We wanted to do it again!

Sail away sail away sail away - So much fun. Jonathan & Chuti (hope I’m spelling this correctly) were perfect hosts & made us feel at home. Super relaxing & lots of water toys. The best (geriatric) party boat outing this group of 50-year-old women could hope for. Highly recommend. 🔥❤️🌊🍍

Fantastic Private Afternoon Sail - The management handled all our pre-tour requests and questions promptly, coordination was flawless, and crew was outstanding. We plan to go back to Costa Rica regularly and will definitely plan to do the tour again. Great group to work with.

Amazing experience! 5 stars! - Amazing experience! We had a relaxing and fun day today. Chute, Pablo and Gustavo took great care of my family of 9! They supplied us with drinks, music, food, and safely got us to and from the beach stop. We relaxed, snorkeled, floated on a raft and there were other fun things to do. Lunch was yummy. Try the banana bread!!! The sunset was gorgeous and we all had a perfect day!

Best Catamaran in Costa Rica - What an amazing experience! From start to finish what an amazing crew and time. We booked a private tour with our group. Our crew included Jonathan and two others and they were all awesome! We connected to the Bluetooth speaker and got to play our own music. They had snorkels, paddle boards and kayaks. Delicious tacos for lunch. Open bar all day… was the highlight of the trip. We watched the sun set as we sailed back to the beach and one of our group members dropped her sunglasses in the water. Two of the crew members even tried to dive down 30+ feet and retrieve them. Don’t forget to tip the boys they deserve it!

Awesome morning tour with little kids! - We had an incredible time with Blue Dolphin Private Catamaran Tours! Our group of 10 (6 adults and 4 kiddos ages 3 to 8) took a private morning tour and it was hands-down one of the best things we did on our trip. The crew—Chute and Gustavo—were total legends. Fun, professional, and so good with the kids. They made sure every single one of us had an amazing time.
The tour lasted 4 hours, starting with a scenic cruise where we spotted sea turtles and even dolphins! That alone would’ve made the day, but it just kept getting better. We stopped at a beautiful private beach where we snorkeled, floated around, explored the shore, and soaked in the pura vida vibes.
Back on board, breakfast was waiting for us—fresh fruit, burritos, banana bread, and pretty much any drink you could want. (Pro tip: ask for Gustavo’s special if you're in the mood for something spicy, zesty, and dangerously delicious!)
The boat was clean, spacious, and perfect for our group. The whole experience felt luxurious, but the price was shockingly affordable for a private tour of this caliber. We genuinely wish we had another week just to keep cruising with these guys. If you're considering it—DO IT. Your only regret will be not booking more time.

Great views, Great crew! - Chute and Gustavo were fantastic. They had great food ready for us and made sure our drinks were full for the whole tour. They were wonderful with our kids, and the family had a great time all around. Green turtles and dolphins were a hit witj everyone. We highly recommend taking the trip with them and would absolutely come back amd see them again!

Perfect Day On the Water - Our group of 7 had an amazing time taking the morning cruise. The crew made us feel right at home & we had plenty of drinks & yummy food. Loved the time to swim & check out the beach. Highly recommend!
