Relaxing and Fun - First time in a horse! This was so much fun and very relaxing! Our guide gave simple instructions and it was very straight forward. He speaks a little English but enough to have a great time. Make sure to wear long pants or sunscreen, the sun will burn your calf muscles!

Wonderful - I went with my young daughter. The horses were very docile and the leader was very kind and cheerful. We had a lovely sunset walk and went on a small trail ride to get a break from the sun. I could not have asked for a better first time riding experience for my daughter.

Wildlife, Coffee and a Waterfall - Great experience seeing sloths, toucans. Bit of a long drive but was worth it. Lunch was simple but filling. Our guide was a great driver and guide

A Horse Named Monkey And A Cowboy Named Jeronimo - Geronimo was so cool in a Costa Rican cowboy way. We had a great ride on the beach and even got to seem howler monkeys!

Great ride on the beach.... - Great ride on the beach. Horses are sweet and sure footed. Guide didn’t talk at all except to ask if we wanted pics together which was perfect for me as I was there for the horses not the conversation.

Worth the money - The beach was kinda crowded. It was fun to ride horses, but not exactly an enlightening tour. The guides were fantastic and helped everyone snitch as they needed.

Great experience but shorter duration than advertised. - Tamarindo beach is a beautiful setting and the horses were well trained. Our major complaint is that our “one hour session” ended after 42 minutes.

Probably Not - The horses are treated very poorly and are rowdy. The guides don't say much to you and take you a weird route. It was cool as an experience I guess so not 1 star but poor providers. Also could probably negotiate it cheaper at the beach itself.

Please don't do it. - I love Costa Rica so much and have been many times but was sooo upset after this experience. The horses were very thin and frankly I should have cancelled when I saw them but my niece was set on this excursion. But, by the end she was also upset and felt very bad for the horses. Not only did they not look healthy, they seems exhausted and I didn't see any water even on the beach for them to drink which is crazy after being out there all day long. The guide also kept snapping what I believe was a whip to keep them moving and it was very upsetting. I felt sick to my stomach and would not recommend this to anyone. These animals are amazing and deserve better. It is shameful.
