Theory meets practice - Loved the theory and dryland practice we received before heading out into the water. This was different from other lessons we've had and it made a world of difference for us.

Nothing has improved my surfing as much as this lessons - I've gone to three surfing schools around the world, and Leandro's was by far the best. He goes deep into the theory of surfing, he teaches you methods that go beyond the conventional stance, he deeply focus on you becoming independent and taking your own waves. My only regret is I couldn't stay longer to take even more classes, but the three I took improved my surfing exponentially. I can not recomend this lessons enough, one of the best main reasons to go to Costa Rica.

The best surf classes - The best surf classes! I went with my boyfriend, and we’re both beginners who had taken surf lessons before—but nothing compared to this. The theory we learned and the technique tips were incredibly valuable and helped us progress so much faster. We also got to practice on the surfskate, which made a huge difference. We’re taking these lessons with us and will keep applying them for years to come. Highly recommend!

Totally worth it!! Surf skate and Surf package is amazing! - I'm a high level beginner and have had many lessons before but my surf skate and surf package with Leandro were the best surf lessons I've ever had. Honestly, don't do the surf lessons on the beach. The theory and technique you learn here is invaluable and definitely worth it. Couldn't recommend enough!! All the people at the surf shop were so knowledgeable and friendly too!!

Will not look at another surf shop in Tamarindo ever again - My daughter and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience renting boards from Club 33. Super friendly and great to work with, the team is best in class and the board options are solid. The location is perfect too. Just a few meters from the surf where you can head up or down the beach depending on where you need to be.

Great surf lessons and shop walking distance to the beach - Leandro and his team were amazing! Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced surfer they're able to put together a program for you based on your needs. They're a full service surf shop where you can rent or buy whatever you need. They organize surf trips as well and are happy to work with families or kids. Would highly recommend and will definitely be surfing with them the next time we're in town.

Best Surf Instructor/Experience in Tamarindo - My family (wife & 9 yo daughter) and I have now been to Tamarindo 3 times and without a doubt, Leandro (and the Club 33 team) is the best surf instructor/experience in the area. This is not a “10 minutes practice popping up on the beach and then I’ll push you into the waves for a cool picture” type of lesson. This is real. A thorough lesson on theory and how waves form, how to read them, where to catch them, how to catch them, and how to ride them. Truly a 360 view of the sport. He inspires confidence and understanding so by the time you hit the water, you are comfortable and in the right mindset to take advantage of every wave. I cannot express my appreciation for Leandro and Club 33 enough—he has given me and my family an activity/sport/experience not just for our time in Tamarindo, but for wherever in the world we go. I think that’s maybe the coolest part of working with him—this is now a new adventure we get to add to our repertoire and will guide us in choosing future vacation spots….because we actually learned how to surf. I/we have tried other surf “schools”…this is the real thing. (Thank you Leandro!)

Theoretical and practical training🏄🏼‍♀️ - My first ever surf lesson was with Leandro. The theoretical training gave me a huge amount of confidence and knowledge. And in the practical classes, his professionalism and infinite kindness helped me further my development.

Best surf coach! Genius teacher and a very kind person - I went to learn surfing to Leandro with my friends and I was shocked in a good way how amazing a surf teacher someone can be! He went through the basics with us explaining in an interesting way all the details you need to know to surf well and have a good experience learning it as well. I am very grateful for him because he made learning such a fun experience and with his teaching technique I could stand on the surf board and do actual surf already at the first time. He is not just a great teacher he is also a very kind, supportive and positive person. :) he is with you in the water all the time and helps you non-stop. Club 33 Tamarindo - I had the great pleasure of meeting Leandro from Club 33 in Tamarindo for surf orientation. I am a 72 old intermediate surfer. Leandro gave great technical advise theoretically with videos , pics and graphics, as well in the water, and was able to give me a great surfboard for the training. I was really able to acquire significant additional info for improving my surfing. Already back in my beach in Surfside Fl and started to use my new knowledge. Will return in May/2025 for more training. Thanks Jack
