Fantastic Chiang Rai Trek - This was a wonderful experience. The guides Wat and Mou were so friendly and helpful that you felt you were among friends. They were so accommodating and caring. They made sure we went at a pace that was comfortable and stopped when we wanted to take a breather which was a few times. The trek itself was strenuous in the beginning and slightly towards the end but as long as your physically fit it should be fine. The views were stunning and the food they made with the bamboo was exquisite. They do provide wooden sticks to walk with and I strongly advise you to take one. Take 2 bottles of water and you have the opportunity to buy some in 2 places. In conclusion Mou and Wat were amazing and made a physical day fun.

Excellent trekking experience in the hills - A very enjoyable day exploring the hills and remote villages of northern Thailand. The trek is not that long in distance (maybe 9km) but it is in parts very steep and a little tricky underfoot in places. Don’t be put off, but you do need to be reasonably fit and mobile to be able to enjoy it. The good news is that there are plenty of stops at local hilltribe villages where you can take a rest and buy drinks. The guides Wat and Sammy are excellent and funny and the cook and driver James also does a good job. Lunch is a particular highlight being fun and very tasty. The tour ends with a stop at a hot springs which was a bit underwhelming but overall it was a great day and I’m glad I did it. One last point: as some others have mentioned, there are a lot of dogs on the loose in the villages and some of them like to join the the tour. It’s great if you like dogs but if you don’t this might bother you.

Hiking, plus so much more - Scorpion Tours delivered with a 6 mile hike on varied trails with some challenging terrain, but then they added a lot more. Both guides had great english so they could answer all our questions. They broke up the hike nicely with stops at scenic places including a great waterfall where you could take a dip, a small store in one village, a coffee bar in another where you could sip an expresso and look down the mountainside. The hot Spring swim at the end was icing on the cake. Lunch was great and they had plenty of steamed vegetable for us vegans. We only crossed paths once or twice with other tour groups, so we always felt like it was us and the beautiful countryside. One of our guides, who grew up in the 2nd village we past even spotted a wild bee honey combso we had an extra desert option besides mandarins we picked from the trees. One warning- if you are afraid of dogs, this might not work for you as the villages have many loose dogs. The guides have the situation well under control so we never felt threatenedand we enjoyed the company of 2 dogs that are probably on Scorpion’s payroll, but I know some people might not feel that way.

Unforgettable Jungle Trek Through Thailand’s Hidden Beauty - We had such a good time on this hike. The jungle was beautiful and the traditional bamboo‑cooked lunch was super tasty. Along the way we got to see local villages and learn about hill tribe life, which made the whole experience feel really special. It’s not something most tourists get to do, so we felt lucky to be part of it. Just a heads‑up: you’ll want a bit of fitness for the trek, but it’s totally worth it.

Strenuous but such a fun day out in the jungle! - You should be in a regular good shape cause it is hard in places, expect to be drenched in sweat. It also is one of the beste days I had in Northern Thailand. It was so well organised. Our guides made chopsticks out of bamboo and cooked us a meal in the jungle, we got to use those chopsticks. They were always fun and kept you motivated. I absolutely loved it and would recommend this trip to everyone!

Refreshing Jungle Trek with Stunning Natural Beauty – A Must-Do in Chiang Rai! - An unforgettable jungle trekking experience! The small group size made it personal, and our guide took excellent care of us. Everything was perfectly arranged—I loved the bamboo cooking and the delicious lunch at the mountain top.
The trek was refreshing and full of natural beauty—lush greenery, sparkling waterfalls, and peaceful farmland gave us a true sense of life in Chiang Rai. At first, I worried if I could manage, but it turned out to be fun and rewarding!
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to explore the authentic beauty of Chiang Rai and immerse themselves in nature.

That was an experience 10 out of 10. The trail is through the jungle, few small villages, tea plantations, waterfall etc - That was a great time. Our guides were so funny :) we laughed so much, just great, just to recommend...
And cooking in the bamboo logs was a best idea and the food tasted very good.

Adventurous challenge with cool guilds - I booked this jungle trek near with a bit of uncertainty, but it turned out to be the absolute highlight of my trip. This is not a leisurely stroll; the trek is genuinely challenging. The path was steep and rugged, pushing my limits as I navigated through dense, beautiful bamboo forests. The sense of personal accomplishment I felt at the end was immense.
What made the experience so special was our guide. He was very friendly kind, and funny guy who created a fantastic group dynamic. He kept our spirits high with his positive energy.
The perfect end to the challenging hike was the end stop at a hot spring for a bit of swimming.
The communication could have been better.
I would recommend this trek to anyone with a good level of fitness. It’s a fun, challenging, and incredibly rewarding day out in nature, made memorable by a brilliant guide.
