Great visit to Tampa - Not for nothing is it said to be one of the best aquariums in America. You will find a myriad of fish, but also sharks, turtles. You can stroke manta rays (a first), but also see exotic birds, pelicans and otters in an aviary. Finally, you will have the chance to see alligators (adults and babies) and lemurs.

Visit the Tampa aquarium before boarding your cruise ship! - Visiting the Tampa aquarium is a great way to spend the morning before boarding your cruise ship. It had fish and other animals we had never seen before! Enjoyed the aviary. Feedback: 1) the fish in many tanks did not match the descriptions, so we spent a lot of time trying to identify them. 2) it was challenging to find our way around, especially the exit at the end of our visit. Exit signs all took us to Emergency-only doors. Finally found an employee to help us

Not worth the money - Honestly for the price, I wasn’t that impressed. There was not much to the aquarium and most of it was under construction They have maybe 2 sharks 1 sea turtle No dolphins No manatees Some of the exhibits were empty They do have an open stingray exhibit where you can touch a sting ray but kids are too small to even reach into the tank. The tank was at least waste high on me (5’3”) if not higher.
