A really great experience - We highly recommend this experience. It's very immersive, with a lot of variety of food in many different venues.. You will eat well...like a local. Our guide had hired cabs to take us to and from the city center and we walked to the various shops and restaurants from a plaza overlooking the cruise ships. We walked quite a lot, but had plenty of opportunities to rest and our guide knew where all of the clean restroom facilities were located. We felt safe. One of our travel mates is gluten intolerant and special accommodations were made for her. Everything was included in the price, including tipping. We did stop at a Moroccan oils shop and a rug shop, but were not pressured to purchase anything. One piece of advice is Do Not Eat Anything before starting the excursion because you are offered a lot of food. This is not an appropriate excursion for disabled people as there are uneven surfaces, cobblestone walkways and a hilly terraine. The excursion was supposed to last 3 1/2 - 4 hours, but it lasted for 6 hours as we were offered shopping opportunities. We would definitely do this one again and highly recommend Annis.

Good food tour - Good variety of food and drinks. Tour guide was knowledgeable and showed us unique places, too, like a spice shop and rug shop.

Tangier Food Tour - Anas was an excellent guide as we strolled thru the streets and markets of Tanjier. We enjoyed all types of Moroccan food and drink, with historical facts along the way. It was a pleasure to meet Anas and experience the Moroccan culture thru his eyes.

Excellent tour! - Ahmed met us at our riad and took us on an excellent tour of Tangier's medina. He was friendly and really knowledgeable about the city, its history and its culture. We unknowingly booked for a holy day but he reorganised the tour to make sure we still got the most out of it despite some places being closed. Would recommend to anyone looking for an introduction to Tangier!

Tour Extraordinaire - What a memorable experience! Anas, for me, is the perfect tour guide: keeps you moving, lots of different experiences, perfect amount of historical context and a wonderfully personable human being. Could not recommend highly enough.

Moroccan for an Afternoon! - Annes Zerrad of Tangier Explorer created a true local’s culinary and historical taste of Tangier that was an unforgettable experience. From the 100 year-old Cafe Porto Rico to wondrous samples of spices, soups, meats, snacks and on to a central baking oven of the Medina, Tangier Explorer is THE guide to the real Tangier. Walking the fish market and having fresh oysters was fantastic. From sitting among the Medina merchants having a proper Moroccan food experience to an art gallery with incredible treasures, one cannot achieve this caliber of immersion through guide books. Annes works to commune as a tour guide, easily adapting to the visitors’ interests without missing a beat. It was a FABULOUS way to capture off our stay in Tangier! Knowing what I now know, I would do it twice!

Go Local! - We opted for a personalized local tour, rahter than the cookie-cutter excursions that the cruiseline offered. Anas was our guide and he did not disappoint. We delved into the the everyday Moroccon culture and had a blast eating and drinking our way through the city. This was by far the best tour we took on our two week cruise.

Book a tour with Anas - you won't regret it! - Anas was a truly wonderful guide. He made us feel welcome and safe from the beginning of our tour. He was very knowledgable, had lots of interesting information for us about the city and the food culture and kept treating us to little bonus snacks that weren't advertised. We had the best time and would highly recommend booking a tour with him. The stops at the carpet maker and the cosmetics place weren't our favourite, but we never felt forced to buy anything.

Great guide - Excellent food tour with Anas. He was really flexible and accommodating when I couldn’t get the train to Tangier in the morning and ran the tour again especially for me in the afternoon - this was above and beyond! We visited a number of food spots for local delicacies - the sardines were life changing! He was also really flexible when I said I wanted to visit a particular spot and incorporated it into our tour of the casbah. I came home thoroughly stuffed with my bag full of olives, figs and biscuits. Anas is a friendly guy, very relaxed and easy to talk to. Thank you for a great afternoon. Highly recommend!
