Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - The driver guide will pick up the group and head to Serengeti National Park. The name Serengeti comes from the Masai word “Siringitu,” meaning endless plains. The vast grassland savannah stretches to the horizon in the south, interrupted only by the unique rock formations known as kopjes, created by the weathering of granite outcrops. These plains are ideal hunting grounds for leopards and other big cats, offering a great opportunity to observe these magnificent animals in their natural environment through the vehicle’s open roof. In the afternoon, the journey will reach the day’s destination, the Seronera Valley in central Serengeti. The group will camp overnight in safari-style tents, enjoying a delicious meal amidst the Serengeti at the Seronera public campsites.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, the adventure continues with a game drive through Serengeti National Park. Hundreds of wildebeests and zebras, along with lions and other big cats like leopards and cheetahs, can often be seen in the Seronera Valley. After a picnic lunch, the drive will proceed towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Upon reaching the crater’s edge, a breathtaking view of this natural wonder unfolds. The group will camp overnight on the crater’s edge, enjoying the stunning sunset at Simba campsite.

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater - Following an early breakfast at dawn, the group will descend into the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera, boasting incredible wildlife diversity. In the grass steppe and acacia woodlands, nearly all species found in the East African savannah can be seen, except for topis, giraffes, and impalas. The Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard) are often spotted within a few hours. Later, the group will travel to their hotel in Arusha for an overnight stay, with the option of a flight back the same night or the following day.
