Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - Following a brief morning orientation, there will be a 90-minute drive to Tarangire National Park. The driver will handle the necessary formalities, and the game drive will commence upon entering the park. Tarangire National Park is renowned for hosting some of Africa’s largest elephant herds. Additionally, it is home to three rare animal species: the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings. The park is situated along the Tarangire River and primarily features low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation is predominantly Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with extensive swamp areas in the south. During Tanzania’s dry season, both the river and swamps attract a multitude of wild animals. The game drive will traverse these areas, with a picnic lunch provided. In the late afternoon, the journey will continue to the accommodation, where sundowners will be served before dinner.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - An early departure from the lodge is necessary to avoid the crowds at this popular African destination, which is the world’s largest inactive, unbroken, and unfilled volcanic caldera. The drive will take us along the crater rim and down the descent road, approximately 600 meters below. The Crater’s resident wildlife includes some of Africa’s last remaining black rhinos, as well as buffalos, lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards. Several hours will be spent observing wildlife on the Crater floor, and in the late afternoon, the return journey to the lodge will begin, with sundowners served before dinner.
Manyara
Lake Manyara National Park - This remarkable park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically situated wildlife areas, featuring a vast but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the base of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s diverse habitat attracts a wide array of animals, including one of Africa’s largest elephant populations, Manyara’s renowned tree-climbing lions, and large flocks of flamingos drawn by the lake’s algae. The guide will provide insights into the birdlife, wildlife, and trees. In the late afternoon, the return drive to Arusha will commence.
