Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - After enjoying breakfast at 7 a.m., guests will be collected at 8 a.m. from their accommodation for a 6-hour (335km) journey to the southern part of Serengeti National Park, entering via the Ngorongoro gate. Upon arrival, a thrilling game drive awaits, exploring the Southern, Central, and Seronera Valley regions. The Maasai call this area “Serengit,” meaning the land of endless plains. The Southern Zone features vast savannah grasslands that provide ample grazing space throughout the year for a variety of wildlife, including Wildebeest, Zebra, Coke’s Hartebeest, waterbuck, Grant’s and Thomson Gazelle, Impala, and more.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park - Elephants are plentiful on the plains, with matriarchal herds expanding in certain areas. Moru Kopjes emerge from the vast savannah like ships on a golden-green sea. The area is home to unique flora, including candelabra trees and stunning ephemeral flowers, as well as rare black rhinos. The central region is so expansive that wildlife can climb and play on the gong rock and admire the Maasai cave paintings of elephants, shields, and abstract patterns. Additionally, the kopjes provide an excellent vantage point for predators to spot their prey.

Ngorongoro to Arusha

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Ngorongoro National Park is unique as the only park in Tanzania that offers a year-round opportunity to view the big five, possibly even in a single day. The park is famous for its Maasai families who reside in circular homesteads known as Bomas. Moreover, the park is an excellent place to learn about early human evolution, pioneered by Mary and Louis Leakey. Wildlife sightings include wildebeest, gazelle, golden jackals, bat-eared foxes, hippopotamus, East African wild dogs, African leopards, ungulates, waterbucks, buffalo, and eland, among others. However, giraffes, oribi, topi, spotted hyenas, cheetahs, impalas, and some other wildlife are rarely seen in the park.
