: ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE

Tarangire National Park - Guests will be collected from their hotel at 8:00 am. After introductions to the guide, chef, and fellow travelers, the journey to Tarangire National Park begins, a 2-hour drive. This park is renowned for its varied landscape, ancient Baobab trees, and the largest elephant population in the country, offering unique opportunities to observe elephant family interactions. A game drive will be conducted based on reported animal sightings, focusing on predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, while herbivores such as giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras are abundant. Lunch will be enjoyed at the Tarangire River picnic site, with a scenic view of the river and wildlife. Although small monkeys and baboons may attempt to disturb, there is no cause for concern. After lunch, the game drive continues before exiting the park and heading to the accommodation.

THE NGORONGORO CRATER

Ngorongoro Conservation Area - The Ngorongoro Crater is considered Tanzania’s premier wildlife park, thanks to its stunning crater landscape and ease of wildlife viewing. After an early breakfast at 6:20 am, the group will head to the Ngorongoro viewpoint to take in the breathtaking scenery. The descent into the crater follows, with the aim of spotting the elusive black rhinos. The crater’s unique environment makes it easier to see most animals, as they do not migrate out. After lunch, a game drive will be conducted before ascending the crater to the accommodation at Sun Bright Campsite, where guests can relax and swim in preparation for the next day.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park - Following breakfast, the tour proceeds to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its large flamingo population and tree-climbing lions, though sightings are rare. A game drive will offer views of numerous birds, and with luck, the famous lions. The hippo pool and hot springs will also be visited, with opportunities to see buffaloes, wildebeests, warthogs, vultures, eagles, and monkeys. After the tour, the group will return to Arusha and their hotel.

Arusha to Kilimanjaro Mountain

Kilimanjaro National Park - The day tour begins with a hotel pickup at 07:00 hrs, followed by a 3-hour drive to the Marangu Gate. Registration with Kilimanjaro National Park authorities takes place before starting the hike at around 11:00 hrs. The Marangu Route, approached from the southeast, leads to the Mandara Hut. The trek covers lower altitudes, with a picnic lunch en route. Upon reaching the hut at 14:00 hrs, a 30-minute rest is taken before descending back to Marangu Gate over 2.5 hours. A vehicle will be ready to return guests to their hotel in Arusha.

This is an affordable trio-day group journey limited to a maximum of 6 participants, each guaranteed a window view and access to the jeep’s pop up roof feature. The tour’s spotlight is the stunning Ngorongoro crater, Tanzania’s premiere wildlife park, where spotting wildlife is made easier by the breathtaking landscape. Following this, the tour takes you to Tarangire, also known as the ‘elephant haven’, renowned for its thriving elephant population. Aside from elephants, you can witness lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, warthogs, pythons, ostrich, vultures, monkeys, baboons and many others. Your journey continues to Lake Manyara park, renowned for its tree climbing lions and lake-flamingos. On the fourth day, a drive and hike to Kilimanjaro is scheduled.
