Mikumi National Park - Begin your adventure early at 04:30 AM with a pick-up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam, heading towards Mikumi National Park. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route during the approximately 7-hour journey through some of Tanzania’s most pristine and untouched landscapes. Upon arrival, check in and embark on an evening game drive within the park. Common wildlife sightings include lions, elands, hartebeests, buffalos, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and elephants. Staying overnight within the park offers a unique opportunity to observe nocturnal animal behaviors.

Mikumi National Park - Start your day with an exhilarating morning game drive at 06:00 AM, the prime time for witnessing wildlife activity. Enjoy breakfast at 08:30 AM before continuing your exploration of Mikumi National Park, home to a significant population of elephants, numerous buffalos, and wild dogs. Other frequently spotted species include lions, bushbucks, impalas, giraffes, elands, baboons, zebras, kudus, and crocodiles. After the game drive, return to Camp Bastian. Relax at the Camp Bastian swimming pool, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Maasai Cultural Tour then Safari to Nyerere National Park

Selous Game Reserve - Experience a Maasai cultural tour before breakfast, learning about their polygamous lifestyle, traditions, customs, and fire-making techniques using sticks. Return to Bastian Camp and continue with game viewing en route to Nyerere National Park, enjoying the diverse cultural experiences of various Tanzanian tribes along the way. All meals will be provided at your accommodation in Selous Game Reserve.

Full Game Drive in Nyerere National Park Selous + Evening Boat Safari

Selous Game Reserve - After breakfast at your accommodation, embark on a full-day game drive in the park. Nyerere National Park boasts a large population of elephants, numerous buffalos, and wild dogs. Other commonly seen species include lions, bushbucks, impalas, giraffes, elands, baboons, zebras, kudus, and crocodiles. In the mid-afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the majestic Rufiji River, observing hippos and crocodiles in their natural environment. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the Selous Safari Lodge.

Walking Tour then Safari to Dar es Salaam

Selous Game Reserve - Begin your day with a walking safari led by a bushman before breakfast. Learn about the various animals and plants found around the expansive Nyerere National Park. After breakfast, travel back to Dar es Salaam to continue with your planned activities.

Dar es Salaam - Dar es Salaam, meaning “Abode of Peace” in Arabic, is the largest city, industrial hub, and major port of Tanzania, located in eastern Africa.
