Moshi/Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara - In the morning, the professional guide/driver will meet the group for a brief overview of the safari. Following this, the journey will proceed directly to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Visitors will spend several hours observing wildlife in the park, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, hippos, and flamingos (in the hippo pool), among other animals. Although rare, climbing tree lions can also be found in Lake Manyara. A boxed lunch will be provided, and around 4 pm, the group will head to their accommodation for dinner in the evening.
Lake Manyara – Serengeti Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, the group will travel towards Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic highland farms of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands, they will descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its vast plains stretching as far as the eye can see. The journey will continue to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a vital water source and attracts a diverse range of wildlife. The group will arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.
Serengeti Plains
Serengeti National Park - Experience the unique opportunity to float in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Plains (available at an additional cost by prior arrangement). Glide silently above the awakening bush, spotting wildlife and taking in the breathtaking African scenery, crossing rivers and numerous small villages. After breakfast, the group will embark on a game viewing drive along the Sogore River Circuit, which loops into the plains south of the Seronera River, offering potential sightings of lions, Thomson gazelles, topis, ostriches, and cheetahs. The Visitor Centre near the Serengeti Seronera Lodge and public campsites is worth visiting after the morning game drive. This well-designed centre features interesting wildlife displays and a gift shop selling informational leaflets and maps of the area. The centre also has a shop for cold drinks and snacks, as well as a picnic area and an information trail around a nearby kopje.
Serengeti Park - Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - After breakfast at the lodge, the group will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. A stopover at Olduvai Gorge will be made, a site rich in history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here that anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man,’ both significant links in the chain of human evolution. The group will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge, and after lunch, they will descend over 600 meters into the crater for a half-day safari tour to view wildlife. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park hosts a wide variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another major attraction of this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot.
Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha/Moshi
Ngorongoro Crater - After enjoying breakfast, the group will transfer back to Arusha/Moshi. Upon arrival in Arusha, lunch will be served, marking the end of the African safari adventure. Guests will be taken to their hotel, concluding the safari services.
