Would 100% recommend - This trip was beyond expectations, especially our guide (Madil) who made this trip a memorable one. I would 100% recommend this trip to anyone considering it.

Very nice adventure - The two guides Festo & Miki welcomed us very well over the 6 days and guided us. Only through their experience and guidance could we reach the summit Kili to the very top. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was also very good.

Great Safari Adventure - From the first contact with Zayina - my Trip Designer I knew that I was in good hands. She patiently worked with me till we finally came up with an itinerary that had all the activities that we wanted and within our budget. Our guide for the trip was Festus who is a charming gentleman who was genuinely interested in making the experience enjoyable and fun for us. He was always punctual with the vehicle cleaned and restocked with drinks and snacks. The game drives were brilliant and made us wish for a longer trip. We had a fantastic time on the drives and back at the lodges because they were great places to relax and enjoy nature.
Given another chance for a trip, I would definitely Choose Zara Tanzania Adventures to host me

Thanks to tour guide Christian an unforgettable time spent on safari with feel-good factor. - Beautiful experience, top safari with best guide you can imagine!
We had Christian as our guide. He has been able to answer all our questions about the land, about the people, about history, about nature and of course about animals.
We felt very comfortable with him.
He is very child friendly and has responded very much to our needs.
Even though it has sometimes become very late, he has not spread stress or made us feel that we need to hurry.
We've been allowed to spend a time with him that we'll never forget.
During the subsequent beach holiday in Zanzibar, our children (4 and 6) still talked a lot about him and often thought about him.
The staff at the hotel were very pleased because Christian had taught our children the most important words in Swahili by the way.
Thanks again for the indescribably beautiful time!

World's best safari guide! - My partner turned 40 in June and to celebrate we and his parents decided to come embark on a safari. We booked externally through Tour Compass, but Zara are their mainland operator and our tour guide/companion for the week was Peter M, my rafiki and brother!
Peter picked us up from Kilimanjaro airport and drove us out of Arusha and to Karatu, teaching us about the surrounding area and what to expect in the coming week. If we thought that was a long drive, wow - how he can handle 8+ hours driving a day for 7 days is beyond me. He was very gracious whenever I fell asleep on a drive, but who knew African Massage was so comfy?
Peter helped me with my swahili (and even taught me some Masai!), improved my knowledge of birds and managed to convince my partner to buy me a necklace! What a hero. Over the week, we as a family grew very close with Peter and as he went above and beyond the call of duty as a guide, he became a very sincere friend. The safari itself was spectacular, but that should go without saying... What really made our holiday exceptional was Peter. I'm sure other guides are great, but he really was the best and was poa kama friji the entire week.
Go to Tanzania for the safari, go with Zara Tours for Peter!

A trip of a lifetime! I cannot thank Zara Tours enough! - Our experience with Zara Tours was nothing short of phenomenal! From the warm hospitality at Springland Moshi, to the stunning views at Highview Coffee Lodge, and the unforgettable charm of Serengeti Safari Lodge, every hotel was incredible with amazing staff who made us feel like family. With our fantastic guide Attanasi leading the way, we were lucky to spot all of the Big 5 in the breathtaking Serengeti and visited all the top national parks. Huge thanks and love to Mama Zara, Aunty Rahma, Aunty Maryam, and their wonderful team for making this a trip of a lifetime. Zara Tours truly goes above and beyond!

Fantastic safari experience with excellent guides. - We had an excellent safari. Our guide, Madeal, seemingly a local celebrity, was also an excellent guide with an enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the wildlife, animal behaviour, and conservation, as well as giving us an insight into the lives of the people of Tanzania. We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Manyara national parks. This was our first safari and we saw more wildlife in the first day than we had anticipated we would see in the whole week, with the whole trip wildly exceeding our expectations.
The food was excellent everywhere we went, and Madeal pulled out his picnic hamper every day to give us a delightful hot lunch of curried meat and vegetables, rice, salad, watermelon, bananas and juice.
The accomodation was generally of a very good standard, though the second room we stayed at in Highview appeared to be of a better standard than the first (both rooms were entirely adequate), we enjoyed being welcomed with hibiscus juice and fresh wash cloths when we returned each day and the opportunity to relax by the pool.
Ikoma Wild Camp was excellent- this was by far our favourite stay. The tent was equipped with proper beds and a full bathroom with surprisingly good water pressure compared to other places we stayed. We were given a whistle to blow to allow us to be escorted from our tent to the dining room after dark which we initially considered as maybe a bit of a tourist gimmick, however, on our night game drive we saw two lions within a kilometre or so of the camp and several hyenas and jackals. We were told the buffalo were more dangerous than the lions. The guides on the night game drive were not at the standard we had experienced with Madeal, but were enthusiastic and tried to get us close to the wildlife. We felt the night game drive was worthwhile as an extra as the animals were far more active. We saw the great migration with zebra and wildebeest, followed by lions, hyenas (which we had not yet seen during the day, though we saw several in the days that followed), and marabou storks perched in large numbers in the trees. We saw colobus monkeys, hyrax and giraffe all from the balcony of our tent.
Back to Highview and we spent a day at Ngorongoro, rising early to get the best chance of seeing the rhino, Madeal warned us that some people might not be lucky enough to see them but we were lucky to see 7 rhino over the course of the day.
Madeal returned to the office after Ngorongoro and was replaced with Joseph who had a different style to Madeal but was also an excellent, we were prepared to be a bit dissapointed by Lake Manyara based on information we had read online (it is more jungle like than the other parks and consequently very difficult to see the wildlife) however, Joseph described it as safari dessert after the main course of the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, which was fairly accurate, it was a bit more relaxed and we had less time there but it did not dissapoint. Joseph was keen to tell us more about the plants we saw (not so plentiful in the Serengeti!) and their uses/which animals ate them, and we saw a lions hiding in the trees with a fresh kill within 50m of the gate ( we had taken binoculars and were very glad of them), multiple herds of elephants, monkeys, a monitor lizard and a fishing eagle. We also witnessed some of the relationships between the animals, such as baboons alongside a herd of gazelles, keeping an eye out for big cats.
Would strongly recommend this trip!
