While these traditions are largely in the past, except for drinking raw animal blood, there is much to learn.
Duration: 20-45 minutes
This visit is optional.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - On this day, guests will explore the far reaches of the Serengeti, whether north, south, east, or west, depending on wildlife movements. After an early breakfast, an early game drive will commence, followed by lunch and continued game viewing into the evening, before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - Guests will rise early at 6 am, enjoy a hot cup of coffee, and depart the campsite for morning game viewing in the heart of Serengeti National Park, taking in the beautiful sunrise. Although it may be chilly, warm clothing is recommended. The game drive will continue until midday, after which guests will return to camp for a full breakfast and lunch, essentially a brunch. Later, they will leave the camp for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying a game drive en route to Ngorongoro Ang’ata Camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - On the final day of the Tanzania Safari, after breakfast and with a picnic lunch in hand, guests will take a short drive to the descending gate and drive down to the crater floor, 650 meters deep, for a half-day crater tour. If fortunate, they may spot a rhinoceros, but the crater is home to many permanent resident animals due to its year-round water supply. After lunch, guests will ascend the crater rim and return to Mto wa Mbu for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lake Manyara to Arusha
Lake Manyara National Park - After breakfast, guests will visit Lake Manyara National Park, known for its large population of flamingos and its tree-climbing lions, although these lions are rarely seen.
