Mikumi National Park - Day One:

Begin your journey with a pick-up from the airport, ferry, or hotel in Dar es Salaam and embark on a drive to Mikumi National Park, which takes approximately 5 hours. Enjoy a brief stop in Morogoro for a hot lunch. Afterward, continue to Mikumi National Park. Arrive for an afternoon game drive that lasts until sunset. Overnight stay at Mikumi Bastian Camp.

Mikumi National Park then Udzungwa Mountain National Park

Mikumi National Park - After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park with packed lunch boxes. Continue the game drive until 3 PM, then proceed to Udzungwa National Park. Overnight stay at Udzungwa Twiga Hotel.

Udzungwa Mountain National Park then Mikumi Town

Udzungwa Mountains National Park - After breakfast, drive to the Udzungwa Mountain National Park headquarters to complete formalities, then proceed to the starting point for mountain trekking in this beautiful park. Experience the stunning natural beauty of the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and continue exploring the area, including the magnificent Sanje Waterfall, which stands at 170 meters. Take the opportunity to swim in one of the waterfall’s plunge pools. After trekking, drive to Mikumi Bastian Camp for an overnight stay.

Mikumi to Selous Game Reserve

Selous Game Reserve - After breakfast, begin your journey to Selous Game Reserve. This journey takes you through some of the most amazing, wild, and untouched areas of Tanzania. The drive will lead you up into the Uluguru Mountains, across rivers, and through small local villages and farms. Although the drive is tiring, it is possibly the most rewarding and adventurous on the southern circuit.

Arrive in Selous Game Reserve for an afternoon game drive. Overnight stay at Africa Safari Camp.

Full Day Game Drive in Selous Game Reserve

Selous Game Reserve - Enjoy a full-day game drive in Selous Game Reserve. Exploring the reserve by 4WD vehicle offers excellent photographic opportunities and the chance to explore different sections of this vast park.

Continue the game drive until 4 PM, then return to the camp for a boat safari along the mighty Great Rufiji River until sunset.

Walking Safari then Dar es Salaam

Selous Game Reserve - Start your day early with a cup of coffee or tea, then embark on a wilderness walking safari guided by an armed ranger, lasting two to two and a half hours. After the walking safari, return to the camp or lodge for breakfast, then pack your belongings and begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam with a packed lunch. Drop off at your hotel, ferry, or airport for your next destination.
