Arusha to Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park - After breakfast at your hotel around 8:00 AM, you’ll depart for Arusha National Park, a 40-minute drive from Arusha town. The park boasts an incredible variety of fauna and flora that is sure to impress.

The entrance gate leads into a shadowy montane forest inhabited by inquisitive blue monkeys and colorful turacos and trogons. This is the only place on the northern safari circuit where the acrobatic black-and-white colobus monkey is easily seen. In the midst of the forest stands the spectacular Ngurdoto Crater, whose steep rocky cliffs enclose a wide marshy floor dotted with herds of buffalo and warthog.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park - You’ll be picked up from your Arusha hotel at 8:00 AM for a 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, where you’ll enjoy a full day game drive. Later, you’ll head to Jambo Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Tarangire National Park is located 115 km from Arusha and covers an area of 2,800 square kilometers. The park’s major attractions include a large number of elephants, tree-climbing pythons, and baobab trees. You’ll also see lions, leopards, and other animals.

Serengeti Central (Central Seronera)

Serengeti National Park - After a full breakfast, you’ll pack your luggage into the safari jeep and start an en-route game drive to Serengeti, with lunch inside the jeep. On the way, you’ll enjoy views of the Rift Valley and Ngorongoro Crater, arriving in Serengeti around 3:00 PM.

You’ll have an evening game drive in central Serengeti to catch the sunset, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at Seronera Campsite inside Serengeti. Major attractions in Serengeti include the endless plains and the great wildebeest migration, which involves 1.5 million herbivores and their predators moving across the Serengeti due to drought. Our driver guide will ensure you witness part of the wildebeest migration.

Central Serengeti to North (Kogatende)

Serengeti National Park - After an early morning breakfast, you’ll start your game drive in Serengeti, heading to the northern region. Our driver will take you to key areas to observe the mass movement of wildebeest and the drama it entails. We recommend visiting the Mara River and Ndutu Plains. River crossings at Kogatende start in July as the mega herd settles into the area. From July to October, game viewing is at its best with daily river crossings. The herds tend to cross back and forth over the river, following the rains and fresh grasses.

In late June and July, the migration moves into north-western Serengeti, making these the best months to see the migration in the western region. From August to September, you can witness the Great Migration in northern Serengeti.

Serengeti Northern

Serengeti National Park - After an early morning breakfast, you’ll start a full day game drive in Serengeti. Our driver will take you to key areas to follow the wildebeest migration. The Great Migration varies each year, but the best chance to see it is from June to September, while the wildebeest calving occurs from January to March. From July to September, our driver will take you to northern Serengeti to witness the great wildebeest migration crossing the Mara River. Over a million and a half of these majestic animals travel throughout the year in search of fresh grazing pastures and better water sources. After your full day game drive, you’ll return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Serengeti National Park - You’ll wake up at 5:45 AM for an early breakfast and watch the sunrise in Serengeti. After breakfast, you’ll go on an early morning game drive until 11:30 AM, then return to the campsite for a hot lunch and pack your belongings into the jeep.

After lunch, you’ll continue with a game drive in Serengeti while heading to Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll stay at Simba Campsite for dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Ngorongoro Crater - You’ll wake up around 5:30 AM for breakfast, then descend to the Ngorongoro Crater floor to see the Big Five and various bird species, including the black rhino. You’ll have lunch inside the crater while enjoying the natural scenery and high concentrations of flamingos.

After a 6 to 7-hour game drive on the crater floor, you’ll ascend and return to the campsite to pack your luggage into the jeep, ready to drive back to Jambo Lodge for dinner and overnight. After the crater tour, you’ll have a walking tour in Mto wa Mbu village to experience local life, see banana plantations, and taste local food.

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park - After breakfast, you’ll head to Lake Manyara for a full day game drive. Inside the park, you’ll see tree-climbing lions and numerous flamingos attracted by the lake’s algae. You’ll also visit a hot spring and a Maasai boma to learn about their culture and traditions. Later, you’ll drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
