The Lemosho Route is often regarded as the premier path on Mount Kilimanjaro. In the past, climbers primarily used two main routes: the Marangu (Coca Cola) route and the Machame (Whiskey) route. However, with the growth of Tanzania’s tourism sector, the Kilimanjaro park authority introduced additional trails to Africa’s tallest mountain. Lemosho, a relatively new path, is favored by esteemed operators for its scenic beauty, seclusion, and high success rate. It significantly enhances the likelihood of climbers reaching the summit and having an enjoyable experience. The Lemosho route can be completed in as few as six days (five nights) on the mountain.
