Mount Kilimanjaro - Guests will be collected in the morning from their hotel in Moshi and transported to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate (Marangu Gate, 1860m). The journey takes about 1 hour. After completing the necessary gate registration, the trek begins, leading through the lush Kilimanjaro rainforest.
Amidst the remarkable vegetation, there is an opportunity to spot black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and various bird species. The knowledgeable English-speaking guide will provide insights about Kilimanjaro and explain the different plant and animal species encountered. Visitors will also meet climbers descending from the summit, who might share their experiences, inspiring dreams of a future climb!
Following a 3-4 hour hike, trekkers will arrive at Mandara Hut (2700m) for a well-deserved rest and lunch. The guide will then lead a short hike (15 minutes walking distance) to the Maundi Crater, offering stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Northern Tanzania, and Kenya. After enjoying the scenery, the group will return to the Marangu Gate (2-3 hours walking distance), where the vehicle will be ready for the transfer back to the hotel. The return journey offers a chance to enjoy the sunset and reflect on the day’s experiences.
