Mikumi National Park, founded in 1964, initially spanned 1,070 square kilometers. In 1975, it was expanded to its present size of 3,230 square kilometers. Situated to the north of the renowned Nyerere National Park, Mikumi is the seventh largest national park in Tanzania and remains the most easily reachable from Dar es Salaam all year round.

- Mikumi National Park - The driver guide will pick up guests from their location at 4:30 AM and transport them to the Dar es Salaam SGR Station to catch the electric train to Morogoro Town, departing at 6:00 AM and arriving at 7:50 AM. - Mikumi National Park - The driver guide will pick up guests from their location at 4:30 AM and transport them to the Dar es Salaam SGR Station to catch the electric train to Morogoro Town, departing at 6:00 AM and arriving at 7:50 AM. Upon arrival at the Morogoro train station, guests will meet their driver and proceed to Mikumi National Park, which is approximately a one and a half hour drive (breakfast will be provided in Morogoro Town). Upon reaching Mikumi National Park, the adventure begins with a game drive until lunchtime.
After lunch, the game drive will continue until 4:00 PM, after which guests will head back to Morogoro for the train to Dar es Salaam, departing at 7:20 PM and arriving in Dar es Salaam at 9:10 PM.
Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, a driver will be available to transfer guests back to their location.
