- Mikumi National Park - Situated along the northern boundary of Africa’s largest Game Reserve, the SELOUS, Mikumi National Park creates a distinctive ecosystem. The expansive vistas and rich wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, the park’s stylish centerpiece, often draw comparisons to the renowned Serengeti Plains. Here, spotted lions oversee their grassy domain, while herds of Zebra, Giraffes, Elephants, Wildebeest, Impala, and Buffalo traverse the park.
The tour begins at Zanzibar airport at 07:00, arriving at Mikumi Airstrip by 08:00, where a safari guide will welcome you. The adventure kicks off with a safari game drive through the wildlife-rich Mkata plains, known for its high concentration of animals. The tour also includes a visit to the famous Hippo pool, a popular watering spot.
Enjoy a hot lunch at midday, then continue exploring the African wilderness before heading back to the airstrip around 15:30 for the return flight to Zanzibar.
